Gradius III was 100% impossible to complete since the last stage had very unstable controls causing the ship to crash into the walls during the escape sequence.
Yes, it's a very hard section with some very tight maneuvers needed. Every millisecond counts and it completely sucks to crash there right at the final stretch. The part where you have to go almost vertically up always stumps me.
@RadiantYT2K Oh I see, well the PSP version does have a few quirks of its own like when you choose the smaller hitbox and the game ramps up the difficulty a notch without telling you. It's based on the PS2 port but had some rejigging to get it on the PSP. I'd say the PS2 version is the superior choice & includes a 2-player mode if I recall correctly?

@@cheapergamer I mean I had no issue with Gradius III included with Gradius III & IV on PS2 decades ago for the escape part.
