doing a rewatch of this series and it's incredible how satisfying this entire sequence is. we hear over and over again from Kenshiro, and it's heavily implied by Raoh, that Toki's Hokuto technique was unrivaled when he was healthy and was unbelievably lethal with a level of finesse that you just don't see from either of his brothers (not including Jagi who is a straight busta lol). this is the first time, IIRC, that we see Toki fully display his technique and the animators went fuckin 110 percent on showing just how utterly deadly he is and outmatches fucking dozens of troops attacking at the same god damn time and not even his expression changes. add in that somewhat tragic-sounding music which kind of laments the lost potential of toki from the nuclear war and gives us a sense of what could have been the true successor, and this whole fuckin scene is done so incredibly well. this is like the fuckin one percent of anime that is legitimately fuckin great entertainment
ON TOP OF THIS (sorry, very high right now) Kenshiro was far more aggressive and takes peoples shit head on whereas Toki just kind of bobs and weaves and flows around with this level of ease, that really makes him a fuck ton stronger than everyone else
Boog609 Because of this I was glad the crossover Hokuto no Ken*Sailor Moon when Toki posses Amy Mizuno he is able to use full potencial with a healthy body, even if he have to use it with some fool Youma demons
If you need a good and happy death, Toki got you covered. If you need a swift death and complete obliteration, Raoh's giant fist can do the job If you need a slow, agonizing and horrible death, Kenshiro is happy to oblige.
donkeykong75m Because it takes 7 seconds for his opponent to blow up. And majority of his techniques is inflicting as much pain as possible before dying.
This scene is beautiful in mutiple ways. - The way the animators show Toki coming into fight stance with the traditional fist in palm - indicating showing respect - even to ordinary soldiers. - His graceful and elegant movements - The look of absolute indifference, compassion and mercy on his face as he effortlessly dodges and counters the attacks on him - The subtle look of saddness on his face as he fight combined with the music score - emphasising that he doesn't wan't to kill them, but has no choice - His subtle hand movements during the fight seem almost like he is raising his hand in blessing like a bodisattva He has liberated these poor soldiers.
Like Kenshiro always said, no one had technique like Toki and he should have been the true successor of Hokuto Shinken. Shit like Hokuto Ujo Danjin Ken just proves that Nuclear Jesus was awesome.
One of the biggest tragedies of Hokuto no Ken is that the Three Hokuto Brothers are all worthy successors. Had each of them been born in a different Era or Generation than the succession crisis would not have occurred.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME I, A MERE PAWN, HAVE TO FACE HIM? I would rather die trying my luck at getting away from Raoh, specially knowing his bro is coming for him.
I picture Henry Cavill as Rei(mostly cause of the long white hair he has in The Witcher), Keanu as Toki is pretty cool. Also John Cena should have a role too considering he's a fan
@@riseup74 Nice. Cavill as Shu could work. He's a bit to young for Shu imo. The question is, who plays Ken and Raoh? I can't think of anyone(who arent old as hell now😂)
I’ll be honest, I had a crush on him since I watched this beautiful show! I’m reading the manga books now, and I have to say, the story feels so compelling and realistic!
Actually toki was supposed to be the hokuto no ken master cause he's originally better than kenshiro but his sickness and miraculous surviver let him be just a very great hokuto master
Le noble prince Thats debatable, considering how much emphasis HNK puts on fate. Toki undoubtedly had the most raw potential of the Hokuto Bros. Kenshiro hadnt even considered taking a shot at the title initially, since to him, the better man was obvious. Even when Toki was dying from his initial illness + radiation poisoning, he was a full fledged beast and Kenshiro was still considering him to be the better candidate. But Toki likely wouldnt have had the ambition to learn the full range of fighting techniques even if he had been at full health. He was a healer at heart. He wouldnt have gone through Kenshiros trials that were necessary to develop Muso Tensei. He wouldnt have gone to Asura and unlocked the understanding of Hokuto Ryu Ken. Kenshiros path was literally written in the stars.
@Leotis Bennett Toki had the most potential, no doubt. But he didnt progress as far as Kenshiro did, in his technical proficiency. Toki never learned Musou Tensei (which was merely a speculated ability up until that point) or any of the wackier abilities Kenshiro developed during his trip to Shura. Its also unlikely that Toki would have bothered to look into those aspects of Hokuto Shin Ken, even if he had lived. He was only interested in the healing aplications of the system. If Toki had lived, he would have been picked as successor, and if Raoh had made any grief about it, Toki (despite being 'soft' in nature and style) would still be a skilled and powerful enough fighter to take down Raoh. Although i think it would be a close fight. Also, Toki wouldnt even need to learn the more esoteric parts of the system. Because apart from Raoh, Souther, Kenshiro and maybe Shū there wouldnt really be any fighter strong enough to pose a threat to him. At least not before Kenshiro learns the Musou Tensei technique, at which point he would be beyond even a healthy Toki. Kenshiro was destined to be the successor and to facilitate that Toki had to be taken out of the loop.
È incredibile come siano riuscìti a incarnare in questo anime il concetto di "equilibrio, forza ed eleganza". Raoul, ken e toky fanno della loro forza uno di questi concetti. È come in tutte le cose, vince "l'equilibrio ".
Wait.....at 1:01, Toki seems to be using the Ha no Rin technique (purple ring attack) of the Gento Koken school. Granted, Hokuto Masters can absorb the techniques of whoever they fight, but who would he have gotten this technique from? Toki had passed away long before Kenshiro traveled to the Land of Asura and encountered his first master of Gento Koken, right?

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME I, A MERE PAWN, HAVE TO FACE HIM?
I would rather die trying my luck at getting away from Raoh, specially knowing his bro is coming for him.
Best on Toki is, that he shows those scumbags heaven just before sending them to hell. 😂
Honestly, if they were to make a live action of this character, I’d picture Keanu Reeves to play him
Yes
I picture Henry Cavill as Rei(mostly cause of the long white hair he has in The Witcher), Keanu as Toki is pretty cool.
Also John Cena should have a role too considering he's a fan
@@g2.a6 as I think about it, that’s not a bad idea for a cast 🤔I also picture Henry Cavill as Shu, part of me also pictures Sebastian Stan as Rei
@@riseup74 Nice. Cavill as Shu could work. He's a bit to young for Shu imo.
The question is, who plays Ken and Raoh? I can't think of anyone(who arent old as hell now😂)
@@g2.a6 shu is based on Mel Gibson
The most powerful of the 4 brothers
Hokuto shinken is always a matter of fate and destiny.
That's why everybody is at the right place.
True fighters aknowledge this.
Bro the true succesor of hokuto shinken
Anybody else wish for an AU where Toki never got sick and became the successor?
My preferred anime of all time...
Italy loves Ken ❤
トキ大好き!
Hokuto Ujuo Danjin Ken. That has to be the most badass move I've seen in HnK.
かっこよすぎるよ❗
the star of beloved
マミヤの為に苦しみを選んだレイに泣けた😭
I wonder what the weather is like today "sees toki in the sky" me:oh shit
死の灰浴びて数年経ってもここまで鮮やかに雑魚掃除出来るのが既に人間やめてる
I’ll be honest, I had a crush on him since I watched this beautiful show! I’m reading the manga books now, and I have to say, the story feels so compelling and realistic!
From many battle scenes, Toki is probably the best at using Hokuto Shinken in the air. Look at those fists raining down!
Toki was literally speed blitzing the entire army 😮
Actually toki was supposed to be the hokuto no ken master cause he's originally better than kenshiro but his sickness and miraculous surviver let him be just a very great hokuto master
Le noble prince
Thats debatable, considering how much emphasis HNK puts on fate.
@Leotis Bennett
Toki had the most potential, no doubt.
My bad.
Its the land of Asura. The Shura is the name of their culture.
@@Wavemaninawe I think you are right.
@@evgeniyushkov7103
I forgot about Falco.
Even with 1 leg, that dude would seriously give Toki some cause for pause.
It is possible that Toki visited the land of Asura during his time or kept contact with Kaioh
@@indrajeet it's possible, I suppose.
So much perfect introduction and the one who drae the super move of toki name hukoto ujo danjenken is jeeeniuse
