Desert life in village | how people live in sindh tharparkar near India Pakistan border 😏🤒
The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is a large, arid region in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent that forms a natural boundary between India and Pakistan. It is the world's 16th largest desert, and the world's 9th largest subtropical desert.
We started our journey from Karachi to Tharparkar, the largest district of the Sindh province. During our eight-hour long drive, we saw the landscape change from high-rise buildings and ring roads to settlements of slums and finally to the arid desert land of Tharparkar. As we neared our destination, we often saw women carrying weight on their heads, seemingly impossible burdens balanced on their thin necks. On the surface, one sees their brightly colored clothes and bangles worn from their wrists to their shoulders. Yet they lead some of the most difficult lives. Early marriage, teenage pregnancy and malnutrition are just some of the many challenges they experience during their lives. In the words of our local guide, “they get up at 4 am, do household chores, look after the children, prepare food, fetch water, and work in the fields. All this even while they are pregnant.”
Hindus
Tharparkar district has the highest population of Hindus in terms of absolute terms. The four districts- Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas and Sanghar hosts more than half of the Hindu population in Pakistan.
Language
The linguistic diversity of the Tharparkar is very high. There are over 13 languages being spoken in the region (Figure 1). Sindhi is the identified provincial language with over 22,700,000 speakers. There are several tribal languages used on a daily basis, including Dhatki, Marwari, Koli, Oadki, and Brahui.
The Thari culture is somewhat a mixture of the Gujrati, rajistani and Sindhi Culture. However the Rajistani Culture overshadows the other two. Also the Thari Music seems to be more inspired from the rajistani traditional music however it has a sound and feel of its own.

So sad to see the plight of those who have accepted their situation and made peace with life. The despair on their faces is writ with pessimism of bleak hope of development. It is a sin for all landed gentry to swim in luxury whereas these people are living in utter poverty. It evokes strong sense of empathy for them and anger against the politicians. Good vlog and your sense of empathy for them is reflected in your cryptic observation. One who brings to light their plight will get their blessings as well as dua as well as Allah's. God bless you .This vlog will haunt me for some time. They seem to have no complaint against life and seem to have reconciled with bare necessities of life.
@@ranjittyagi9354 I cannot claim to be spiritual .I read a lot on these aspects and try to understand our scriptures and view various videos on all other religions to get some knowledge. I do follow a religious regime of pooja which my family follows but only as a practice as it gives me solace .I am 70yrs old and at this stage it is a natural tendency .Added to that I underwent a foot surgery and I have to use special footwear to walk with a walker and hence apart from my legal drafting work I spent a lot of time on you tube and this is one channel for which i have a special liking and I address Saima as beti appreciate her sincere and genuine efforts on subjects which interest me and give good feedback where ever she deserves. That's about all. We must encourage such youngsters in their sincere effort.

Humble, happy and nice people. Not selfish at all like city folks. All people used to live like this earlier.
No doubt they are happy

Nice Saima ji. You have shown us different places in Pakistan which we have never seen before. Different culture & different people. There daily life is very difficult but although they are very happy because they are not interested in materialistic life, they are happy in what they have. Thanks for showing us this place. 🙏🙏
