Collioure France

Collioure (Cotlliure), a small historic harbour town in the south of France. This is a short cinematic travel video showing some of the highlights of this old port filmed during very high winds. This part of the French Mediterranean coast is a little like paradise! Côte Vermeille, Occitanie, Pyrénées-Orientales.

2.02 Le niveau de la mer est bien monté depuis mon enfance.
Avant le bord de plage sur la droite s'étendait sur plusieurs mètre.
Là, les vagues arrivent au contact du mur.
Le petit bout de rocher juste en face sur la gauche, faisait office de retenue d'eau et on y trouvait plein de crabes.
Il y avait aussi des poulpes mais pour savoir si ils sont toujours là, il faudrait y plonger.

thank you. It was a surprising place for me as well. I had planned to visit somewhere else but due to a bus not turning up we ended up going to Collioure instead and really loved it so were happy to go there instead!

Collioure: an exquisitely pretty little place slumbering by the Mediterranean. So pretty, in fact, it feels like a toy town. Also completely savaged by tourist hordes in summer. My advice? Go in Dec/Jan/Feb and you’ll have the place to yourself, aside from a few locals, and who knows, you might get lucky with the weather! One year, I was down there in dead of winter and had a run of 20 degree days. Not boding well for climate change, sure, but lovely while it lasted.
