Feel ya Jason, just picked up a 1999 suburban 4x4 and have just been getting her up to speed, got tired of getting stuck and needed enough room to haul the wife and the shepherd, and our stuff. Everyone stay frosty
I’m a sailor, and on my boat,in a waterproof bag, I keep a set of wool long underwear and two pairs of heavy wool socks. If hiking I keep a similar kit in my pack, so I can always sleep warm and dry. Warm and dry will take you a long way. In the morning I put my damp stuff on, yes it sucks, but I know what is waiting for me when night comes.
Got a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 4x4 about two years ago. Been fixing and improving it since day one. Will replace my tires with some All Terrain next Spring on some used matching wheels I got off of FB Marketplace. I keep an "Essentials" bag and an extra supply bag in it. Just put in some Slime tubes in my Mountain bike that stays in the Jeep.
Have you seen some of the rally cars? Bit of a hidden gem over here. But yeah, for a working man like construction, farming, or similar, a truck is probably ideal. Cheers.
@@ONThree I just meant that design, that brand is to expensive. I've never priced the Lacrosse ones but I remember you mentioned them before. I just like that rubber boot design with that wet suit material on top so they stay tight. They're nice
As long as gas is available - just sayin'. I've been 4-wheelin' long enough to know that the ability they provide to get you out of something - can also get you 'in' to something you might be walking out of. Fitness is a much more important asset. If you can move on your feet - you can do things. Mechanicals are nice but be prepared for failure. Water and calories - all you need.
Unnecessary stuff? I don't think so man. If you are on foot, even a day hike is pretty significant and you need to have some basic stuff on you. Like the 5 C's, small first aid kit, protein bars and self defense tool.
Well, you got some good points there. I live in florida right now, not a good place o be after the huricane,. Which you probably know living in Georgia, as I beleive you do. Been thinking of retireing up there, I'm tired of living in a swamp and, the flat ground we live on here.
Listen, not every scenario justifies a bug out, but to completely discount it is foolishness. RECENT events that support the case for Bug Out: - Train Derailment/ Chem Spill - Hurricanes - Tornadoes - Wildfires - Landslides - Floods If you live in town, and the house next door is fully involved in flames, you WILL be evacuated. Have fun riding your bike. Bug out bags aren't just for the complete de-evolution of society. You could be suffering a very personal SHTF.

Awesome!
Being able to detached is also very important in extreme situations, for sure. Nice one, brother 💪🏽
Another fine rendition and great things to think about....
Thanks!
Good points, especially about trying alt routes. Thanks.
Excellent video food for thought see ya on the next one
Thanks 👍
Pogo sticks. You don’t bug out, you bounce out.
Why didn’t I think of that?
Crickets: "..."
Good video, thanks for sharing ,YAH bless !

I agree, like the Muk boot design, those boots are the 💩 😅. Probably one of the best investments you can make in my opinion
Muck boots are ok. I prefer lacrosse.

Jason, as a super senior lady, I would rather have an SUV than a truck. Is there one you would recommend? I would need to buy a used one.
Does a 4x4 jeep wrangler count? It has a tow hitch, 3” lift, and 35” tires.
Definitely! A larger bed is pretty dang handy but small trailer can solve that problem.

A simple bicycle is better than a get home bag or bug out bag .........i think people should take advantage of it
Bikes are game changers!

If you started a Only Feet page, I’m sure you could generate some money 💴 😂
