My mother had epilepsy, loss of memory, loss of cognition, and spoke disconnected things. Additionally, she also has glaucoma. We thought she wasn't seeing things correctly, but indeed, she wasn't understanding what she was seeing. She has undergone two brain surgeries due to the cyst with one year of interval and has been taking epilepsy medication since the first surgery. Currently, she is under constant medical supervision, undergoing tomography exams, and having semiannual check-ups to monitor the possibility of the cyst's recurrence.
Hello, I do have an Arachnoid Cyst 6.6 cm by 3.2 cm, and it is causing me a lot of problems, including headaches, loss of balance, vomiting, numbness in my legs, and double vision. I had placed a shunt in 2004 and changed it on 4/7/23, but this last one did not work. I am having another surgery next month, Sept 8, 2023, trying vp shunt this time.

Thank you for this. I just found out yesterday that I have this in the exact area. It measured at 18x11 mm. Thankfully not large.
I also have one in the exact same area it’s so crazy because the images are shown looks exactly similar too mine. Mine is 3.1cm
I also just found out that I have one in the same location...but I went because I keep getting headaches...dizziness...pain/pressure at the base of my skull...brain fog...forgetfulness and nausea...mine is 1.6 cm TV 1.3 cm AP and 5.0 cm CC...whatever that means...my doctor never even called me to discuss it...she just put it in the notes section on (my chart) online...I'm curious to know and understand what the 5.0 cm CC means
@@deekay62177 Same here have daily headaches, pressure, pain in head from base of skull. With vision issues as well. I had found out about mine last November because I was getting heavy vertigo symptoms that would last for days. An my ENT scheduled for an MRI which presented my Cyst. I’m 23 y/o

I have Posterior cranial fossa arachnoid cyst. Mine has a mass effect.

My MRI report says, "There is a 4×2×2.8 cm CSF signal intensity lesion along the posterior aspect of the medial portion left frontal lobe. This may represent an arachnoid cyst. There is periventriculat and deep white matter areas at T2 signal. This is nonspecific and may represent small vessel ischemic disease. I suffer many disabling symptoms. Visual, dizzy, spacey, there's a long list. Any idea?
