      Sorry hit the wrong key and sent the message out too soon is the next level acoustic subs a very accurate and clean sounding sub compared to the SVS in wall sub thanks for the video and help me narrow it down to which sub I want to use

      The NextLevel is definitely a stronger performer in every way, but it comes with a higher price tag as well. The NextLevel does not need to be qualified as an In-Wall sub. It’s a good sub regardless of form factor.

    I'm running older, on-wall Artcoustic subwoofers, very similar to this, using 2x10" drivers in each cabinet pretty much the size of this.
    Using four of those in two pairs and with some DSP finagling, I'm getting very respectable output down to 15 Hz with an amplifier delivering 450W to each pair. I gotta say, coming from two 15" sealed subs taking out several square feet of floor space, being able to get room-filling, tight and deep bass from wall-mounted or in-wall subs is a fantastic experience.
    Having picked them up for around $100 a piece I couldn't imagine better bang for my buck

    One of my favorite bass demos is from the automated car factory scene in Minority Report. Those stun guns are fabulous!

    I've watched and listen closely to your review of this and the SVS 3000IW becouse I'm planning a build and am considering an all in wall approach. Your comments are well thought out and meaningful, so thank you. It's refreshing to hear the thoughts of someone who actually has experience with listening critially to music and cinema. But, I have to comment that a product review is not complete, and may not be useful, without stating it's cost, particularly with manufacturers who do not readily provide MSRPs on their website. Many companies who deal with installers and integrators tend to do this nowadays. IDK if they do intentionally so these installers can build in additional profit or what, but it is incredibly suspect and frustrating to consumers, even to the point of avoiding their products because of it. If I were a "reviewer" I would stipulate that MSRP would be provided to viewers or I would decline to review them, but that's me.
    With that said, for a dedicated room for mixed HT/music applications, taking into consideration cost, which would you chose these Next Level dual 10's or the SVS? Then the same question except not taking into consideration cost?

      Thanks for the feedback. I certainly understand and often feel the same, but I don’t feel it’s up to reviewers to provide pricing, since the price frequently changes over the lifetime of a review. Publishing the price should fall on the manufacturer since they can easily update the published price if/when the price changes. Another thing to consider, though, is that this sub is sold primarily through the custom installer channel, which allows a lot more flexibility in pricing when bundled with a full system installation.
      That said, this sub is priced well above the SVS in-wall, but has the performance to match. The NextLevel sub does not need to be qualified as good performance “for an in-wall.” It is a great performing sub, period. Jiles McCoy just published a review of this sub where it hit 10Hz in his room, which checks out with the performance I was able to achieve. I would not hesitate to recommend this sub, but would also recommend a pair to ensure installation location can account for room anomalies.

    Hi, ive seen two of your revies now on the inwall subwoofers, between the SVS and the Nextlevel acoustics in wall subwoofers which are the best, and why thanks Oz

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Місяць тому

      They are both solid performers but with the added cost of the NextLevel Acoustics, you get a substantial boost in performance. Whichever you would choose I’d recommend a pair for smoother response and evening out your room. If you have the extra room in the budget you will not be disappointed with the NLA. If you don’t have that budget the SVS is also capable.

    I'll never understand the mindset of keeping the price a secret. Can you give us a hint of the price? I don't like to waste my time and the times of salesmen when it might be out of my budget.

    Do you like this sub more than the SVS for dedicated audio/music running in stereo? I ask because you talk about how tight and accurate the SVS system is.

      I think either would be great for 2ch music listening. I didn’t test either extensively for 2ch since my music system is in a different room. The NextLevel digs deeper for movie content but I don’t think either would break a sweat on music.
