Here’s a fun fact for you guys: Evan and I were born on the same day, July 29th 1990; and my parents were actually in Wales on holiday on the day I (and Evan here) was born (I’m adopted); I was born at 2:22 AM EDT which was 7:22 AM BST, so my parents were probably awake drinking their morning coffee at the moment their adoptive daughter (of whom they knew nothing about until about 10 months later) was born. I’m not sure who’s older, me or Evan; but there’s a pretty good chance (roughly 91%) that it’s me who’s older, since I was born in the middle of the night in the same time zone.
About your avocado trees: you know what plants love? Tea! I poor my leftover tea (no sugar or milk in it) into my tropical house plants and they LOVE it!
You talking about Irish potatoes being only from certain parts of the country made me think about how in Ohio we eat buckeyes at Christmas! (no not REAL buckeyes 😂) They are balls of peanut butter and powdered sugar dipped in chocolate and it’s the best Christmas treat EVER! (potential trigger warning for my comment, I wanted to say this to anyone who went through the same thing) 12:08 I was raised the same way. Although, I'm autistic but wasn't diagnosed until age 15, so that didn't really work for me. Some foods I didn't like, I would reluctantly try and end up liking, but there are certain foods I could never eat and still can't. My parents would tell me I couldn't have anything else, so I didn't. I would go without food until my parents let me have something else, and this led to a few times where I became underweight, the worst time was when I was 15, which led to my diagnosis. Alternatively, my parents told me I couldn't leave the table until I finished. So I'd sit there for hours, occasionally screaming, which my parents would smack me for. It terrified me, and until I was about 12 or 13, my parents never realised that that wouldn't work. I still have nightmares about it now, from time to time. I really wish my parents had taken me seriously a lot earlier on when I said I couldn't eat some things
