Thank you MIKAN for your beautiful video, wonderful camera work and exquisite sound mix. These kids are just amazing, wonderful musicians and entertainers. Loved every minute but that rendition of "stardust" on the alto sax was unbelievable. If you watch this video with your eyes closed you would think it was professional musicians in a studio, not high school kids in a shopping mall. I would happily pay good money to see musicians of this calibre play live. How people can just walk past and carry on with their shopping amazes me. I would be rooted to the spot watching this amazing spectacle!
That ideal acoustical echo/ reverb capacity* of the Mall performance area...! So...audibly apparent as the video ends with band members dispersing ; and so...helpful when recording those exceptional(!) 🎼 tune renditions ....
If you have never seen any of their performances from 2018 I recommend you try to find one. They had a really excellent saxophone soloist (now graduated) who was extremely talented.

odajima様、先日はご丁寧にお話していただきありがとうございました。そうですね、ルフロンは高い所に屋根がありますが、風が吹くと横から雨が入り、始まる前はカメラが濡れたので心配でしたが無事に終わったのでなによりです。

私は２階から見ていましたが、小さなお子様連れもたくさん来ていましたね。
パーカッションの後ろ（右手側）で、2～3歳くらいのお子様が「チュニジアの夜」で激しく踊っていたのが可愛かったです(笑)
新入生の加わった演奏は初めて聞きましたが、これからますます楽しみです。

今回初めていい曲だとおもいました
ところで一輪車とか皿回しとか綱渡りしながらとかの演奏はなくなったんですか？

素晴らしいです。
4月の楽大師の公演から3か月しか経っていませんが、大西学園の「踊り吹き」はすごくブラッシュアップされたように感じました。動きのキレというか過激さが増しています。そして振り付けの細かな部分も変更して、カッコ良くなっていますよね。ダンスだけでなく、演奏もぐっと良くなっていると感じました。特にスター・ダストのサックスソロは、以前より曲のイメージに合った演奏になっているのではないでしょうか。4月の時点では去年の奏者の方がいいかなと思っていましたが、今はどうでしょう、去年の奏者を超えたかも。どこまでうまくなるのか今後も楽しみです。
顔ぶれを見ると来ていない人が何名かいました。大西学園はただでさえ人数が少ないのに、「大丈夫か？」と思いましたが・・・大丈夫でした。(^^)
ただ、チュニジアの夜でのトロンボーンのパンチ力が、ちょーっと足りないような気がしました。私の気のせいかもしれません。(^^)
演奏には関係ないですが、大西学園では、ダンスしながら演奏することを「踊り吹き」と言っているようですね。私はこの「踊り吹き」という言い方がとても好きです。
