Genesis #18 - Why Does God Choose Some People, But Not Others?

  • In Genesis 21, Abraham's promised son, Isaac, finally comes and the baby mama drama continues after he tried to take matters into his own hands and have a child with another woman. As is often the case with God, Pastor Mark shows that God blesses everyone in the story, despite the people and their actions, and that God is always the ultimate hero in every story.

God has written in his word that he desires that none should perish but all should come to the knowledge of God in Christ that all would be saved in Christ. Jesus came to give us the love of God, and he also gave us a purpose. To do all the things he did and greater so we could show God that we love him by keeping his commandments. And we would also go out and spread the good news. If you love somebody you would go and share the good news of Christ. God could have just poured his Spirit out upon the whole Earth but he didn't. Think about and pray about why? He has called for us to lay down our lives and follow him. He gave us his love from Heaven to Earth and for us to take the love that he gave us and give his love to others.

He could not pour out is spirit on everyone...what heart conditions are they..in the devil..he first call you ..cleaned you up ..then gives us is spirit to strengthen us to serve him.
All sinned..all in the devil power ..God wants us back in the way he created us..now we are poisoned and lack knowledge.
If we see the story from God eyes..we would all think differently..

He Created mankind and it was Good. Why would He want things differently than He created them in the beginning other than to SEAL us with His blood and Spirit so Satan cannot take us out of His hand.

Why are churches engaged in the trifecta of biblical damnation sins and refusing to correct this and refusing to repent?
What does the church have to do with hiding truths to benefit demons ?
Why would a Christian have a good attitude about ongoing crimes and abuses? What demon pastor would demand a good attitude while they continue their massive sins agaisnt said people?

One of the things Jesus says in Hebrews. He rewards those who diligently seek him. If you do what he asks you to do. He gave you a reward. If he did give the reward to disobedience. It would make him out to be a liar. Which he is not. Abraham is a Hebrew. Remember when Pharoah made Sarah a part of his Harem. How do you suppose Pharoah knew ? Remember they had hidden her. Do you think maybe because the Pharoahs were aware of the consequences when you play with a Hebrew. Like the plagues began. Psalm 91 even declares this truth. It's one of the reasons he walked away with a lot of wealth from the wicked. You see scripture reminds us that the wealth of the wicked is store up for the righteous. So not everyone gets blessed. It would be contrary to God's word. Did you also know God could have saved Joseph from Potiphar, but he did not. There is no contradictory passage in the bible. Psalm 91 is actually protection for his people.

Also, you mentioned that God says that we should rest one day, but because we're in the new covenant, it doesn't matter which day so long as we take one day off...I have to respectfully disagree with you, Pastor Mark. Just as you highlighted that it mattered to God that Abraham circumcise his son on the 8th day although it seems arbitrary to us, it matters to God which day of the week we observe Sabbath. So much so in fact that it's the only commandment in the 10 commandments that starts with the word "Remember..." ..."Remember the Seventh day to keep it holy..." and ironically it's the one commandment most Christians forget or choose to ignore. So much so that like the other 9 commandments, he wrote this commandment in stone with his own finger. And the reason for keeping the seventh day holy in 2022 is not to recall God's faithfulness in freeing and leading his people out of Egypt. No, he explains why all of God's people must keep this commandment. He goes on to say "...for in six days, God created the heavens and the earth..." It points back to creation and what God did on the seventh-day as an example for us. I LOVE your teachings and share your videos with all who are willing to put up with me bragging about you and your church, but I pray you'll consider taking another look at the Sabbath, look at the history of Sabbath, when and who changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday or (whatever day)...it wasn't Jesus...it wasn't Paul...it wasn't the Acts Church...the bible teaches that they kept having church on Saturday/Sabbath...the change happened centuries later. Thank you.

When I was active duty USAF, a friend of mine was had orders to change duty stations. He had to leave his housing, but there was going to be about a month before his wife could go and join him. My wife and I offered to let she and her son stay in our spare bedroom in base housing. All good, right? Wrong. Even though there was nothing sexual or emotional between his wife and myself, there was tremendous conflict and competition between the women. Jeff was gone. I was there to deal with it and it was misery. In the end, she and her son left early. I don’t know where they stayed. I lost a friend over it. We both wound up divorcing those women and I don’t think either of us have a clue as to what happened. Except they were both estrogen crazed and vindictive.
I can’t imagine the atmosphere at Abraham’s house.

See Colossians 2:16, it shows that your judgement towards this person was wrong. Blasphemy is a serious accusation, don’t accuse others of it for merely holding on to some different doctrines than yours.
