7 /9 seater will be good , why mahindra people not improving bolero , this model will be failure with two door ,
I did a test drive today , just 5 hours back.
It was an amazing experience, very refined drive for a thar.
At the end of the day, it is a "driver only" car. Rest of the people will be clueless, like why are we even in this thing.
This will be more of an emotional buy.
I can't do this - a family man :)

For back seat i need hard top? For front seat can i have soft top when ever i want i should be able to take out.
It must include 3 front facing seats in 2nd row. At this cost. Wheel arches should be utilise well for 2nd rows. 🙄🙄
Travelling in the Himalayas in back seat and suddenly you want to touch the feel of cool outside air, but ohh no; you are not!!! Bacause the rear side glasses are fixed!!! Don't know why these windows are fixed !
Get a soft top if you like to feel the wind in the hair 🤷

Back seat arrangement let's u down. 5doors variation should have been a standard feature. What if d person in d back vomits?????

The price shouldn't have been more than 9-10 lakhs on road.

This is proper suv with off road setup. I don't see any brand brings similar car lower price than this SUV. Given our tax system it is way cheaper. Never compare with so called suvs like seltos which are just crossovers. The top of the line cost 21 lakhs on road

Do thar have body rool in the rear seat? While driving at hilly place, where there are lots of corners

Great review! The only thing missing on the 2 door Wrangler (apart from that 2.2 diesel) is the 50:50 split rear seat. Has anyone tried to swap the seat in the Wrangler with a Thar seat?

Convertible top me air noise kitna hai. Aur back side transperent plastic window me se visiblity quality kaisi hai.

My personal review on the back seat is very different to yours. I travelled from mumbai to goa with 4 people on board and the ride quality was really tough. Every small bumps on the road the thar just wobbles so hard it's tough to go over a pothole easily. You have to break and go super slow over it to make it a comfortable ride. I love the thar but when the ride comfort comes in picture I wasn't happy.

Good one dear.. have already booked the hard top version. Have reviewed the car myself. Honestly I only disliked the cheap materials used in the rear seats. Rest its not for everyone. Its a statement car.

Mileage of Petrol automatic ?
Even before drive is over: it’s fantastic by Thar standards.
I can't buy it cause there are no rear doors. I could still live with 4 seats, though. Not a family vehicle.
thar is completly offroader we can't consider it as family car there are so many family cars to buy but thar is only one in offroading segment

@Arka Sen well they know that this model will not run in the market as expected.. and that is why they have started redesigning it for 5 door version. There is very small number of off roaders in India comparing to other markets. In india, Off roading is done for pleasure.. those who do it by compulsion, can't afford this vehicle.. in US market, these vehicles will sell like hot cakes because they really need it. In India..there are different needs.. I can bet that it would be more of a recreational vehicle for most and especially who have spare money for it in India.
The moment they install 5 doors and keep it limited to 5 seats... It will be a great great vehicle for eveyone, including off roaders.

Relatable. But the space in a Scorpio is superior, hence more comfortable. Also the seats in the Thar are not too cushiony

ABOUT THE COOLING OF THE AC FOR THE BACK PASSENGERS. REST IS 👌
The AC performance even on the previous Thar was pretty good. With the hard top model, there will be no problem with AC performance. With the soft top model, on a sunny day, there will be hot air creeping inside the cabin. We'll soon test it and comment about it.

Just imagine the fate of back seat passengers, if this thar fell in deep water and water is flushing in.....
The chances of survivability for front passengers are definitely high, in comparison to rear passengers...
My recommendation for a safe family ride is 4+1 doors option...
Its a serious matter, they can get trapped easily in last row, also no ventilation in long journey

Only for weekend purpose if you have multiple vehicles at your garage. That is also if you are not having any senior citizens in your family. Second row doors and a bit longer chasis will make this a more favourite vahicle for Indian families. Till then it will create interest to many but actual buyer will be limited.
In high ranges , lot of Mahindra 540 / jeeps / Thar around. For emergencies they just take the patient inside from back door , front facing seats not possible . AX model with Auto and side seats will sell like a hot cake
