I too am an empath-- ALWAYS have been! And I NEVER knew it before now. I have always thought something was wrong with me. It taken me through addiction, and so much pain. But, I am a very strong person, and also have a "very high pain threshold". Thank you for helping me finally see this is a beautiful part of me, and that there's never been anything wrong with me. I don't need to numb it out or try and change it. Thank you for your courage-- it has given me courage! !!
Shamefully I also pre-judged, just because of what she wore. I thought the interview would be centered around religion. I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY with her intelligence, her insights and her message. I'm taking away so many lessons from this interview. Thank you both.💖💕❤️
Najwa Zebian's ideas resonate with my own relationship with pain. I totally identify with the fact that pain shows us how strong we are, and with "the one who broke you, can't heal you". I love when she says "If I'm kind and you take advantage, you're at fault, not me. I shouldn't stop being kind". I also agree with the fact that there is no way to shield ourselves from the pain, pain will always come from unexpected sources. So, I'm hopeful that when a new pain comes, I'll know that I'll overcome it, because I've overcome deeper pain in the past. However, turning your pain into sweetness is a whole other level!
I have watched this a couple of times and hadn't thought of commenting but I just read the comments asking what the point of this interview is or why is Najwa being interviewed, people seem to think she didn't "suffer enough" to write the kind of things she writes. I thought it might be insightful if I share why I love this interview: I relate *a lot* to that idea of being "too kind" and "too understanding". I also was in an emotionally abusive relationship with someone I think may be a narcissist, who gaslighted me and left a big wound on my soul. To hear Najwa talking about daring to be who you are despite being hurt, to see past suffering as a reminder that you're still here, you made it trough and you're strong... I mean, that's powerful as fuck. I've been in therapy for a while and have worked on my self-esteem and I'm at a much better place than I used to, but I still sometimes have certain doubts -which I think it's natural-, Najwa brought clarity to my mind in many ways and also peace. If you're very sensitive you hear a lot how terrible it is to be like that, but it can be a beautiful thing, it's part of your essence. Protecting that is an important part of self-love and also self-growth. So thanks for sharing your story, Najwa, and sharing your strenght. Thanks Lewis for seeing her value and help more people know about her.
Yeah her poem that...inflict torture on every visitor..her following comment abt.. leaving scars that define the person you are.. there really, really exists ppl like that type. And the ripples they caused out, on the still pond of water hurt so, so much on others when the inflicted had to suffer silently for shame and perceived guilt
..bcoz,as explained elsewhere...pain not transmuted gets transferred,.So think..the buck stops with me aka ..be a circuit-breaker esp to Generational Curse
I understand Najwa so well because I have similar experiences! Thank you Lewis for choosing to interview her. Please, invite her again so you guys can go deeper into how Najwa came out of it all! I love how you allow her to express herself without interrupting her! All the best to both you! 🙏
You two get each other so well! As a Muslim, I can see myself in her, though still waiting to come out to claim myself. Coming to this from impact theory, and having watched your latest shows, this seems so much more authentic of you.
Last year, I watched this episode with eagerness and interest. I came back because this year I've lived the exact same story. I started writing poetry about humane issues when I was in college, but the themes has evolved into ones that are more about my personal healing from toxicity in romance, social and familial ties. Thanks Najwa and Lewis.
THANK YOU Lewis for being so brave and featuring Najwa. To see a member of the community I belong to featured on your show, especially when others would shy from it, is so heartwarming and empowering. Thank you for your acceptance and reaching out when others wouldn't and would rather "play it safe".
I agree with Brodie. It is a against the current trend of demonizing 1/5 of humanity.(muslims). Not a muslim myself but i was shocked when my daughter came home one day and asked me: "Why are muslims bad? everyone at school is saying it."
..like to point out.. community you belong, when in the majority ,can be Narcissistic- encouraged by religious underlying mindsets ? - causing abuse in various forms ,to minorities. Just to 🚲🤹
Najwa is such a beautiful woman inside and out. I first listened to this podcast interview and I was so in loved with her voice and a her laughter that by 10 minutes in the interview that I had to stop it and went onto UA-cam to watch the interview.
This interview really moved me because I think we all have gone through periods in our lives where we feel like outsiders and feel alone. Awesome interview! I learned a lot from both of you!
Thank you Lewis for having a muslim female to share her story. You are literate an amazing human being. Thanks for having a huge diversity of people, many people wouldn't do that.
This will help many to move through and overcome self-depreciation and disappointments. I’m happy that she found freedom and the desire to give to others
I stumbled upon this interview as I was watching a video of Rupi Kaur. I was not aware of Najwa, so I was intrigued to see who Najwa was. And, wow - I am completely moved. I went through some of Najwa's writing pieces post this interview, and I feel as if someone is speaking on behalf of my soul (thank you). I will be ordering Mind Platter very shortly. Thank you, Lewis - thank you for introducing me to someone so lovely. p.s. Najwa has such an endearing smile and her eyes speak volume.
I really like how he shows respect to her explaining the situation. I am also a foreigner in the US and when you have no family here makes life very difficult. We look for belonging like any human being and sometimes society makes it very very difficult. At times it felt like living in a jungle. As immigrants we are strong people. We have no choice
Some wonderful snippets of wisdom shone during this interview. I can relate to some of her experiences and I enjoyed this interview. Thanks Lewis, and congratulations on your book ❤
This was powerful, Lewis and Najwa. Allowing Who You Are to shine through in this interview made me realize that I should, like you did, give Who I Am permission to shine through wherever I am at if I want to heal and grow and help other people heal and grow. Thank you so much for Being You.
Man so timely! My gf and I have been talking about needing to let friendships go that are holding us back. Great to have another perspective! Thank you for doing this interview Lewis & Najwa!
Being a Muslim woman I am so happy and grateful to see that you choose to see and celebrate what’s in people’s mind and heart instead of focusing on what is covering their head ....this is so refreshing and inspiring. So thank you from the bottom of my heart
❤️❤️❤️ Lots of love and power to you Najwa! It’s so inspiring to hear someone come out of a situation like that with that with that kind of mentality. With no hate no bitterness just a focus on self improvement and kindness. Xxxxxx
i am an empath and i like my alonetimenand im so upfront for what i want in life. i climb my own mountain because i had too and i am the only solution to whats my thoughts are and i back it up with peace affirmations and forgiving the people around me until i figured it out how to put healthy boundaries around me. and now i am so grateful that i listen to this interview because i experience it and i felt like pain from the inside.thank you that means i am unique.❤️😘🙏💪@najwa❤️🙏
This was literally like the most interesting and liberating interview that I saw on UA-cam! I am so glad that I found Miss Najwa on instagram back last year and Mr. Lewis Howes on her page. And this is how I ended up here. And I feel so happy to know that empaths like us are not alone. I am glad that I found solace in Najwa's words during my lowest times. And I can't wait to read all of these books shown ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for this wonderful interview Lewis 🌸 You are a great man! Stay blessed 😇👍
She is Strong & Courageous!!! I always see her comments on Jay's & Ur insta!!! I also had narcissist X who I thought was my Twin but he was False Twin Flame!!! Her book is going to heal lot of people!!!
Najwa you are amazing, listening to you brings tears to my eye because It makes me think of who I've put into my life and why, thank you Lewis for this interview.
So even though I didn't resonate with everything in this interview, for me it was quite enlightening to hear a soul like Najwa speaking out from her unique perspective. I think we can learn a lot from this human being and remember the importance of empathy.
@@lewishowes I am truly greatful that I came across this channel ❣️...Thank you so much for who you are lewis...keep up the good work..Wish you light and peace ✨
Beautiful interview Lewis. Nice to see you interviewing some Canadian inspiring Women. Love her vulnerability and perseverance to see the light when sometimes it is only darkness.
I like najwa zebian i watch some of her interviews and it makes me realize that what her struggle experience is what ived feel now at the moment and im trying to understand myself if whats really the problem with in me it seems im not me anymore the way i see myself now as before . But to be honest to @LewisHowes is i cant sit longer to be in front of him , i keep distructing everytime i see his eyes .

So amazing to see how four years unfolding for Lewis & Najwa …

Dont be vulnerable to others but be vulnerable to yourself because it leads you to your authenticity

I'm taking away so many lessons from this interview. Thank you both.💖💕❤️
I was lucky I watched her in a more recent video. She is a stunning person, in and out. Its a shame what some religions make you do like dress code.
Yes, i discovered her about a week ago and something she said gave me an epiphany.

she is so beautiful and her eyes are showing her soul of genuine person.
