I've had the most luck with tubbies in three horns valley. There's plenty of skagg piles and using the barrel bandit technical helps to get around and to escape the rabid skaggs easy. The explosive barrels can kill the smaller skaggs easy allowing more to spawn, potentially giving you a tubby.
Don't forget the chest above the info stockade. You get to fight a badass constructor as well. Makes the entire chest run longer, however you have more of a chance to get loot. I've got quite a few legendaries from both the chests, and the tubbies.

This can net you: Anything from the Tubby loot pool, a Nukem, a Veruc, a Lyuda, a Hammer Buster, the Maggie or the Slagga, as opposed to your route which can net you anything from the Tubby loot pool, a Nukem, a Veruc and a Lyuda. Not much more time, but with the opportunity to snag some solid weapons.

My favorite spot is caustic caverns. I hide in the tunnel inside the room with the vending machine. Shoot out the door to piss the varkids off , let them pod up , at the same time farming for vermy.

I was going throught wildlife preservation with my level 45 friend, when we jumped down to the Skag area and ran a bit further, tons of skags and stalkers spawned out of nowhere, including 3 Tubbys in the same spot
One good one that also has a developers chest is Tundra Express. In 20 min I already had 4 spawn for me. They're chubbies cause I'm only on TVHM but the idea is still the same. It's a really quick farm too.
I know that one tubby spawns in the Dust in Play through 3 and then go to bug gultch then look at (Highlight their names) (You can kill them too) then you'll have a 50\50 chance to spawn a Tubby Spiderant
Sawtooth cauldron has loot midgets, always in the chests, always in pairs. Enter sawtooth cauldron keep to the top and check the chests around the middle, there will 3 waves of Bandits and 1 lot of buzzards.
I've tried the Badlands for tubbies, and only got one... I'm more of the Dust person, since I love to run and get all the goodies over there... Lyuda, Maggie, Slagga, Nukem, and even the Hammer Buster Plus, I get a buttload of tubbies over there
Six years playing this game and I never knew I could drive up to the church...I always took the path. The Dust is such a farming pleasure now....sorry Mick, you're getting barrels dumped on you for your Maggie before I go lay siege to a church....
Why over 10 minuts at Frostburn Canyon? Just go through spiderants and it's 4 mins max. Also helps to not have Flame of Firehawk questline done, so more spiderants spawns instead of Scorch. 1 tubby per ~6 runs. I recommend getting taste on Three Horns Valley. Using vehicle you can quickly run through all locations. It's just that if you want more enemies to spawn you have to kill stuff. So I guess could be really great farming spot for before OP levels, where vehicle is still pretty potent and quick at taking down enemies using Bee shield.
Caustic caverns top 3 easy. when you drop down to the spider ant nest, plus there's a good chest to farm down there, also loads of threshers, in fact probably the best place to farm tubbies 👍
Three horn valley. Area by (behind Doc Mercy) the quick jump to doc mercy. I look for tubby skags rhen farm Doc Mercy for different Infinity. Save & repeate. I get good drops usually best run was 8 drops out of 20 farm runs.(mix of class mod & infinities)

It's very random. About 10 days ago, I was in a 4 player squad, we got 5 Tubbies in the dust. Tried for over a week and we've only spawned 1. Just keep trying and you'll hit the jackpot.
