One of my funnest vacations I've ever had was in Malibu. I'm a truck driver, and my CB handle (nickname) is actually "Malibu".
I grew up in Hollywood and we spent our weekends in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. There are so many hidden places that are only known by locals (even some of the locals don’t know about them). I was blessed to have grown up here. Malibu Beach rv park became our home away from home when I moved out of state. Did you know the original owners of the rv park were related (by marriage) to the original owners (Rindge/Adamson) of Malibu? So many things to do and see in Malibu it would take a couple weeks to see/experience them all. 🥰☀️🌊⛱️🐚

I’m not a fan of California but they have pretty areas. The Oregon coast is amazing (their rock formations are mind blowing ) and normally a lot less everything. But still that ocean was beautiful 😍

You havent experienced beach camping until you got to Oceano Dunes -Pismo Beach. Only beach you can camp on. Also there is North Beach and Oceano campground California State Parks. all are connected within 2 miles of each other. This is considered the best camping on the California Coast #1

@@Wanderlocal I lived in California for quite a few years, but I never did get a chance to visit Malibu. With our new airstream in September, we are planning on traveling down the coast from Washington state. That spot looked pretty inviting, we may have to try and get a space there, and definitely try out that restaurant! You two have opened my eyes to so many great places. Cant wait for your next adventure! 😊

Since we've been traveling to the Airstream Rally in TN from CA, our schedules have had us traveling so quickly, it's been hard to figure out a good time/internet signal to plan for them in advance. That being said, we're finally arriving at the rally on Friday, and pending we have solid internet, we're gonna schedule a live for Sunday night so we can finally hang out again! 🎉

Kurt, yeah - I believe it! I (Lauren) have taken one surfing class as a teenager, but Daniel and I haven't ever done it together. We're going to have to get that on the books for the future. Have you ever surfed?
Actually, tent camping is not that bad. You do have to glamp it up a little, make it comfortable. My husband and I have been doing car camping for many years. Right now out of our Mini Cooper. One of our first trips (when we do our airstream life) I want to take my hubby all of the west coast, California to Washington. My in-laws had done this a few years back, but in hotels. We loved where they went too.
❤️❤️❤️ Yes!!! I keep telling him, Yisim, that it would be fun. I'm sure I'll talk him into it sometime soon. His go-to is that apparently some poor woman just got eaten by a bear in Yellowstone tent camping. 😢 Therefore I think we're going to have to definitely do a little prep learning work before we get this adventrous.
But, you really must make the California coast a trip you do soon. We wanted to extend ours as far as to Washington, but because we're going to the Airstream Rally in TN next week, we couldn't do both. We'll be back for sure though. Our time up the California coast was just magical. ✨
I totally understand the bear situation. I actually learned better tent camping from a couple of You Tube stars, Homemade Wanderlust and Catherine Gregory, they do backpacking/tent camping. They are very knowledgeable on those type of situations and they have old footage on tenting in certain National parks. I also learn from the overlander guys too. Yeah, I can’t wait visit the whole west coast. Maybe next year you two can do it.

I've been an accountant 35+ years, which explains my interest in local businesses and why I enjoy watching your explorations. Drive safely! G
