Travis is a natural petrol-head. But he doesn't seem to stick with something long enough to master it (with the exception of his MX-Freestyle career, that is). Dude was a Ricky Charmichael-quality MX racer, but was drawn to freestyle. Jack of all trades, master of none. If this dude picked a driving sport and stuck to it, he'd be amazing in that discipline. But we would also love him less for doing so. Pastrana is the definition of eccentric. Love it
Travis destroyed his acl jumping at home, right before the start of his mx career in the 250 class his dad says it cost Travis 1 million dollars that first year. He wanted to do free style in the end and he made his mom cry at every event shy was so scared. He was Ricky Carmichael good tell he destroyed his acl and then the thing that has really kept him from being good enough to stay racing full time in a car is injuries from free style. When you break a collarbone to days before a race and have to have surgery to have it plated so you can race thru the pain of the broken bone an can't think of how all the other other injuries effect him.
How could you be a professional motor sports guy and not know how to work the clutch? I never drove a manual before I was like 20 but because I ride bikes it was a pretty easy transition. Random question, does Travis ride street bikes at all or is he strictly just a dirt guy?
