currently in year 12 and i’ve been trying to figure out whether dentistry is for me - with your videos like this one i’ve been able to realise it’s 100% what i aspire to do 🥹
Please i want to ask something really quickly does gcse maths grade matters, like do you need to do maths a level to get into dentistry even tho i might be really good at chemistry and biology???
It does have cases where it goes through patients and then asks more in-depth questions! Defo check out the free trial to see these kinds of questions :)
Hi miss sola, i need help so im in yr10 and in maths foundation and i got really good marks in that so they asked me if i wanna move up to higher, but it heard higher is really hard and where can i learn higher stuff when i know nothing.
i’m in top set and let me tell you, go for it! it’s definitely gonna be a bit harder than foundation, but i promise you get used to it. im terrible at maths and i managed to get an A 💕
I love your videos. ❤️ I’m planning on doing medicine in 2025 and have picked biology, chemistry and maths as my alevels. However, I did not get an A in maths (I got a grade 6). I’m also finding maths alevel stressful. I’m thinking of changing it to English language, do you think that is a good option for medical school?
If you’re struggling in maths and you feel like won’t get the grade you need - definitely switch over to something you’re more likely to get an A*/A in. If English language is that subject then do it! ❤️ I did religious studies
Hello sola you have any tips for year 12 and what I should be doing your tips helped me in my gcses so thanks I got the a levels I wanted and the btec.
thank you!! i'm not too sure abt other unis but we have one requirement to make a denture from start to finish, as well as learn about the stages! it's pretty unique to barts (qmul)
There is quite a bit of content you have to get your head around but it is also very practical! I would say if you genuinely want to go into it, it is going to be a tough but rewarding journey ahead! You don't necessarily have to be the smartest right now, but if you try hard and have a good work ethic, it's possible!
Hi sola i love your videos, you inspire me to become my dream job i am a yr9 student and i am not sure why to do for GCSE to become a dentist/orthodontist what advice would you give to me ?. Thanks
I would say try to do triple science and then for your other subjects do things which you find interesting and think you'll get a good grade in! My personal advice would be to avoid GCSE Art (unless you really want to do it!) because it does take a lot of time and it may affect your grades for your other subjects.
Your one of my biggest inspiration Sola! I REALLY want to be a dentist like you
aww thank you so much!! that's such a sweet compliment! you can do it✨🫶

Hi there Sola. Is pastest only have MCQ and osce questions? Does it have case studies? xx

Im thinking of becoming a dentist and taking that route, i am in yr 11 rn, i just think that the entirre course is sooo long compared to other courses
i definitely get where you're coming from - it is a longer course but if its something you truly want to do, then the extra 2 years is worth it

Hi sola, I really enjoyed your video. I had a question about the dentures you made, is QMUL the only uni that makes dental students make dentures?
thank you!! i'm not too sure abt other unis but we have one requirement to make a denture from start to finish, as well as learn about the stages! it's pretty unique to barts (qmul)
I’m from Queens and we make dentures too xx
@@melindalo4523 thank you for your reply, may I ask why you choose to go their for dental school like what sets the school apart?
this might sound like an obvious question, but how difficult is dentistry? it’s an industry id love to go into, but i’m not science-smart at all 😭

@SmileWithSola thank you sola for ur great advice one last thing shall I take health and social cars would that be good for going into dentistry?
@@manaalsheikh138 Do whatever subject you enjoy for GCSEs, the exact choice doesn't matter so long as you get good grades in them!
