I was very passionate to enter PMA when I was in grade 12. I took the exam, and passed. However, coincidentally, it was reported that there was another hazing victim who died of his injuries. My passion did not die out that quick, but another cadet was reported to have fell victim to hazing and succumbed to his wounds. I got demoralized, aside from being just heartbroken about such, but I believed that it's likely God has a different plan for me. Here I am, learning to be an officer in reserve, and we are all being treated well. Second year college student here. My note to myself, follow opportunities, not your passion, but bring your passion with you always.

Asawa ko nasira ang tuhod sa hazing, 3 taon niyang tiniis pero forced to retire 1 year before graduation dahil dun. Piloto na siya ngayon. There is a testimony ng isang official na grumaduate ng academy,the hazing started in the class of 1951 nung naging active ulit ang academy after world war 2,there was no hazing from the previous class 1936 till 1942 when the war started,from experience of abuse, physically and mentally during the war that cause some casualty,they added hazing to test toughness and learn to control through times of pressure from body and mind.

Kultura na yan. Kahit sa ROTC or ARESCOM uso ang bugbugan. Naranasan ko rin mabugbog nung nag train ako as Reservist. So far nagsurvive naman ako dahil sanay katawan ko sa hirap dahil varsity ako ng track and field.

Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit May hazing eh. Sa tingin ko sapat naman yung training nila sa PMA para maging matatag at matibay sa labanan pag labas nila sa akademya. Disiplina at tatag ng isip at katawan ang dapat sinasanay Jan. Hindi hazing o pananakit ng kabaro.
