The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 100-77. Sam Merrill led all scorers with 27 points (8-11 3pt FG) for the Cavaliers, while Emoni Bates added 21 points and 4 rebounds in the victory. Kenneth Lofton Jr. tallied 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals for the Grizzlies. The Cavaliers improve to 3-0 in the NBA 2K24 Summer League, while the Grizzlies fall to 1-1.

I really love summer league. It’s competitive with legit talented players competing for spots. Honestly most of the games are entertaining as hell. I like it much better than college.

Cleveland has some shooters fr fr, Merrill showed out. Bates and Cooper are some ballers, those three are going to be a real problem in stretching the floor. Memphis gave them too much room to shoot. Memphis shouldve got Lofton active earlier in this game. Memphis also if they didnt let them in the paint, they gave Cleveland's shooters too much room to breathe, so Cleveland did what shooters do, shoot.

That being said I’m optimistic that they can be contenders because they’re roster is extremely talented and much improved in this offseason.
