This was before the crowd colapse right?
Got goosebumps all over my body when he said "We survived" at the end because that's literally what happened. My gosh. This is your second life. ❤️
Fall on your knees and THANK JESUS NOW AND REPENT……..THERE IS VERY LITTLE TIME LEFT!!! I promise you🔥
Lo siento muchísimo.no tengo el gusto de conocer el país pero lo admiro y respeto y duele mucho esta tragedia dios los tenga en su santa gloria..
Listen closely and you will mostly hear the screams of women, women died in disproportionate rates that day, their small frames fared worse in the crowd 😢

Nothing like 360º videos for us to get the closest idea possible to the actual situation. Not just in Itaewon, but everywhere... Your video, more than any piece of information, tells everything.
Yes
Do que de trata essa muvuca toda?? Claustrofóbica.
The most bone-chilling part for me, is that you can hear the screams. To consider that there were about 150 people dead and that most the people that went through the alleyway probably couldn't even see them is terrifying. Especially considering, if you watch the people on the right side by the stores you can kind of see some of them look down confused and staring at something on the ground, but then getting pushed by the crowd again before they could even process it was a real person and not a prop. The people who are literally climbing on the sides of the stores are probably people who realized there was something off about the crowd. I've never liked crowded places, but this brings it to a whole new level. It's so sad to think everyone that came out only came out for a good time and that it honestly could have been any of us.
I might be wrong, but your comment gives me the impression that you think this video was taken during the fatal event, and that you think the event was people being trampled?
Edit: I see why now. In the description, OP misrepresented what's happening in this video. This video doesn't show the fatal event. It was the same alley, but this was taken before the crush. The crush/collapse blocked the whole alley, with people piled on top of each other.
@@SraTacoMal Yea I was confused too. The photos I saw had people completly pin in the alley there was no way OP could have made it thru that alley if he was there. But in part 2 of his video you see the wave of people that trigger the whole thing, even spot some people going go and never came back up. Maybe the fatality didn't all happen right at the very end
I think this is right before it happens. At some point a group of women in the alley fall and that causes others to fall with them but no one stopped and businesses weren't taking people in. You can even see 2 security guards in this video shoo people out of their club entrance
You are absolutely right, it could have been anyone of us too. 😔✝️🙏
@@Not_Jorge now I understand why a girl told me that there were some guys shooing PPL out of the pubs
This video shows how serious the situation was at that time. I hope a lot of things can be improved through this case.
hard to improve stupidity
Honestly it doesnt look so bad here. But I don understand why people choose to go through that alleyway.
@루미나크 lol far from it.
@@billythecat My guess is, it was the closest alleyway to the metro station? I believe the station is in front making it a shorter walk. Which may be why so many people decided to go that way. So sad..
@@jejalove123 Yes, it's pretty close to the Exit 1 of Itaewon subway station. Also, the incident happened at around 10:20 PM, that's why the alleyway was crowded because they were rushing to get to the subway before it stops operating.
You legit went thru the same alley. That is so scary & you are so so so very lucky. I hope videos like this help the authorities figure out ways to keep this from happening & shows ppl that crowds like this should be avoided.
S/he is lucky bcoz if u could see the crowed here they still can walk not freely atleast they can. Unlike to those front lane were the surge is happened is so cruel to watched those lane literally stock. That's why most ppl dead are frm the front lane.
You're literally survived, what a scary moment to be in. What seems like a fun Halloween celebration turn into a total tragedy in that area.
I feel so suffocated watching you walking in that tight crowd. You were so lucky getting out of there just in time!!!
Did you send this video to the authorities? They are gonna need every piece of video out there to understand how exactly the surge happened. Please do.
Well it's on UA-cam so if they can't find it here then they're pretty lame.

You men how the Stampede happened
It's horrifying to see so many people at a small place.
To be honest, its kinda stupid they allowed this.
@A.IChill how was it fun anyways?
It was very reckless to go there, almost enclosed space, teenagers and adrenaline, probably alcohol. I always avoid large crowds, it's dangerous.
@@redefinedliving5974 Hindsight is always 20/20... this area is always populated by partygoers, the only difference this time was that it was hell a lot more after 3 years of COVID restriction. The govt somewhat.. predicted there will be a lot but not like this and certainly didn't expect a massive tragedy of such kind. Remember, this sort of accident had been almost unheard of in Korea.
People are very pragmatic thinkers in this way, i.e. we make judgments based on our past experiences and not logical assessment of factual knowns. Factually speaking, if you put the pieces together, it's not difficult to see this sort of situation ending in such devastation. But it just has never happened before, so people just nonchalantly dismissed the possibility despite it being completely plausible. There are many many loopholes in systems implemented in our society. That's why it's important to not settle with "what works well enough" but actively plan and test possibilities.
@@redefinedliving5974 The Yoon Suk Yeoln government of South Korea says the cause of the situation is the people.
Wow this was so stressful to watch. I can hear the relief in your voice once you can move freely again. So sad that so many didn't get that chance. Glad for your safety.

Hearing the screams makes me anxious and the whistles to indicate everybody out of the crowd surge is devastating
Rest in piece 🙏🏻
1:49 i think this was the choke point area of the crowd crush based on the vids i found on twitter, where people got piled on top of each other and police were trying to pull and rescue those who were crushed. it's scary to think that few minutes or seconds after they passed here, the crowd probably collapsed as ppl fell over eo. really tragic and terrifying.

situations like this that makes me extremely thankful for being highly introverted.. couldn’t pay me enough to join that crowd for a good night out
It's so stupid to be in a crowd like this. 99% of the time, you are just standing next to some stranger and touching their shoulders. You do that for 5 hours then you go home.
@@James-sn5mg none of them knew it would get that packed so that's the crazy part. It slowly started getting more and more crowded and suddenly you can't move and next thing you know people are dying. Absolutely nuts.
Just some tips:
-If you ever in a crowded place, put both of your hands in front of your chest to give space for breathing. This is so you can use your hands to push people a little in front of you just in case the space being too tight too breath or because you are too small to get air
-always bring light snack (chocolate is the best) and water bottle in you bag. This kind of crowd can take hours and the bodies heat cause you to become dehydrated. Best to not lose consciousness.
-do not bring children into crowd. Ever. No matter what.
-screaming and pushing are pointless. Be calm. Best to calm people that panic too. Calm the people surrounding you because if they panic and cause havoc, you are among the closest one in danger
-Be aware all the time. I have read people experience that survive from getting stomped over because other people pulling them up. You need to help each other. Being close to people that fall, there is still chance that you fall too. There case where a lot of people fall in one place and stacked each other..people below can get crushed. And, be aware where you step, you didn't want to step on people or anything that can make you fall
-just follow the crowd. There is no point to go opposite direction especially if it too tight. If you lose someone, you can find them AFTER getting out of the pack crowd. Do not stay or going against the flow.
And last but not least, best to avoid place that have way too many people. Be alert of the closest way out and get out ASAP
I hope these tips can save lives 🙏..take care
다른 나라 사람들이 이렇게 애도를 표하니 슬프고 고맙고 기분이 이상하다.. 이런 일이 일어나다니...
Wow, this is amazing - 1:54 you can see the workers telling people to stay away from their entrance . At 4:05 you can see on the left people are trying to go up towards the steep hill ; against the flow of the massive crowd.
I see, they contributed to the deaths
So true.
I was totally wondering the same ... :/
Tbh I wouldn’t put full blame on the workers, if the crowd broke into their shops, it would have crowded the rest of the space they had and probably killed the patrons inside. Consider this, if you open only your shop, it doesn’t mean the other shops will and the crowd was coming in from other alleys without knowledge of what happened. This simply adds up to the amount of unknown people coming in to a finite space in your shop and soon, your patrons and staff will be in danger.
thank you soo much for uploading this videos RIP to those that lost their lives
This might be one of the most useful footages of a disaster ever recorded in human history. You have no idea what this video means to humanity and to the authorities in hopefully preventing this in the future. The fact you're right in the intersection is even more insane. I don't think this is WHEN it happened otherwise everyone would have been 100% stuck, right? You would have never been able to pass through.
I can only hope it helps to prevent needless loss of life in the future.
I agree completely. I honestly had no idea what a crowd crush even was. I also never realized that these kinds of crowds could be deadly! Seeing it like this, particularly with the 360 camera really clearly shows what happens when too many people are in a narrow space.
Just watching this is enough to suffocate me man. Im glad im a homebuddy. I feel bad to those who lost their lives
I heard about this article from koreaboo, "police are now looking into allegations that a group of 5-6 men started the pushing" and "many are also calling for the investigation into one man in particular, who wore bunny ears." I hope they'll find a piece of evidence through this, glad you're safe.
Yes finally, I hoped those people wouldn’t be under the radar, and will see justice for intentional murder of 150 human lives
I agree...watch the subway video on this channel, it was just as crowded there...some morons started pushing in the bar area
I can totally see some idiot young guys starting the pushibg
Nonsense. Movement is involuntary in a crowd this size. People become a wave. This tragedy cannot be pinned on a single group of people. Sounds like they're looking for a scapegoat.
@@Fireglo exactly.
Gone too soon. This isn't the way that anyone passes away. Devastated, frustrated, and heartbreaking to hear this tragic news. My heart and thoughts are with those who rest in eternal peace and their families.
This seems like before things got really bad and the bottle neck happened. They made it out just in time. Amazing 360 video. Thanks for uploading
@Dream I think it was area where the pilot and his co-pilot exited the narrow alley. They seemed to exit before the fall which witnesses say happened in an instant-all the sudden like a domino effect . It could have been another entrance to Itewon. I don’t know the area. According to witnesses, at some time the crowd surged and those at the front fell a pileup started. Peopl were literally burried high and one of the entrances to Itewon. I have seen a video that shows a pile of bodies at the entrance. At that point in the video I saw , authorities were on site trying to dislodge the pile. It was a terrible sight .
@@ycAuntieLala This is exactly the narrow alley where the tragety happened
@Jk It happened at a couple of alleys at the same time. This was one of the two worst hit alleys. They are really lucky they got out just in time.
@@Sarahintheforest784 wait wasn’t it within one alley? And when this alley jammed, the others jammed up and many inside fainted and died due to cardiac arrest but the worst one was this alley?
@Jk @Jk This is the exact same alley, but before the event. If you see video of the actual event, you'll see the exact same yellow- and blue-handled brooms at the top of backdoor stairs as you can see at ~1:50 on the left.

It’s possible, you could be in an emergency evacuation where you won’t be able to choose the crowd level and you only have one choice: to leave with them or an unknown factor (attack/collapse) causing people to surge into an uncrowded place and before you know, you are in it.
please send the videos you took at the time to the Itaewon Police Box. I think it will help solve the case.

As we can see here, the areas at both ends of this alley were also heavily crowded. No wonder it was so difficult to get through there. I've never seen this many people in Itaewon before.
Its structually not a coincidence. Some Murders plan this.

Thank you for sharing. It gives us a clear picture of what happened. I was also able to see how the club bodyguard had no humanity. People were in front of whatever that club was and he was whistling with his whistle to get out and go back in that line. Could he not let them stand there and help out by waiting until the situation got better. So sad. If they would off blocked the streets it would of given them more space to walk by. So many things that could of been done but too late. All those lives were lost 😔
I literally made screenshots of the faces of those two s**** till now. I m so nervous, so enraged that they didn t let anyone in, only because it was not a cheap place,... I wish someone tells them they should feel guilty for their whole life

@@alwaysyouramanda yeah there doesn't tend to be crowds where there's nothing to see. This thing is more common in a closed venue that has somehow fumbled capacity limits, or if a fire breaks out and there's a panic for the doors. Can obviously happen anywhere that there is too many people and not enough space, it begins in moments once that critical threshold is crossed
@@alwaysyouramanda in a concert you mean? I went to a saint's festival in a denser area of my city this summer. People seem to be misunderstanding what's happening here. This video was taken before the fatal crowd surge, in the same alley as said surge. This video doesn't show the event, but you definitely can learn from it what the atmosphere was like that would eventually lead to the fatal event. If you see video of the actual surge, you'll see a mountain of people piled on top of each other, some of them conscious, some unconscious, some tellingly blue.
What is most disturbing is you can see inside the clubs in many of these videos and there aren’t many people in them. So why aren’t the people closest making room by jumping over the fence and into the open air clubs? They are just standing there against the fence watching what is going on.
