+100 Dad Points for sure. Taught my daughter to drive a manual Jeep Wrangler, We developed a mantra, clutch, gas/slip, clutch out, gas, off the gas, clutch in, shift 2nd, clutch out, gas, off the gas, clutch in, shift 3rd, clutch out, gas, off the gas, clutch in, shift 4th, clutch out, gas. Shorted it every time we went out as she got comfortable with the gears and where to reach for the pedals and shifter etc. Like when she learned muscle memory for taking her foot off the gas to depress the clutch, I stopped saying to do that. Practice as you said. She's a whiz at stick shift, driving my Midget the first time she saw it with no troubles at all. She would love a field to bomb around in. I'll have to find one around here. Upstate, NY under Lake Ontario.

Great achievement on the Midget, nice to see your daughter driving "stick" and I love the channel name change.

Thanks Graham! I hope you're well? Any chance of a Land Rover resurrection?

@@jamieduff1981 Steady, it's only been off the road for close to 10 years. I have plans though, but other plans are ahead of it in the queue.

Funny how you used the term Cream Crackered for the condition of the pump; the factory racing team was known as the Cream Crackers in the early 1930s, mainly down to the cream and brown paintwork. Love the 1960s/70s Midget. One would go well with my 1932 Morris Minor Two-Seater.
