Ki-Jana Carter… former Penn State Nittany Lions tailback who led the 1994 team to a perfect season in their second year in the Big Ten… drafter number one overall by the Bungles… was a bust due to injuries… today he is the CEO of the sanitation company BioGlobe.
Mandarich and Ryan Leafe have achieved something that very few of us could. Respect to anyone who can bounce back.
Terry Crews
An NFL bust who ultimately became the host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire in syndication.
Terry Crews was drafted in the 12th round. That's not considered a bust
@@aaronlewis2501 Yeah, I don't think this person realizes what bust means.
@@aaronlewis2501thank you. 11th round pick outta Western Michigan definitely not a bust. The fact he made any roster for any amount of time is pretty impressive.
Tony Mandrich's comeback wasnt a failure. He did pretty good.
Fr, and he'd have done even better if not for the shoulder injury.
Why are there so many NFL wide receivers named Mike Williams
Also Michael Thomas 😂
There are an absurd amount of mikes
@@D1-NFLSergeant I am surprised there are less Mike Smith's than the names above.
Am I the last person to realize that the Dr Pepper sheriff is the boz?!?
Todd Blackledge went from NFL bust to one of the best college football commentators. Prior to Mahomes, he was the last QB the Chiefs took in the first round.
David Carr would be perfect casting for Batman, & he looks like the 90’s animated series Bruce Wayne
Manderich had a decent comeback with the colts if i remember correctly
Yes he did. I'd hardly call him a bust! He started several years for the Colts until a debilitating knee injury.
Bosworth was not a bust. He was a pretty decent linebacker. Just unlucky.
Yes, he was pretty good. He gets roasted for the Bo Jackson freight train, but most players were smashed by Bo.
As a Michigan State alum and Lions fan, I’m happy to see the players with ties to my teams doing well. Especially Mike Williams! I was wondering whatever happened with him!
I’m surprised Jim haurbaugh didn’t make the list, he was a crappy qb for the colts, which left them to draft Peyton, and he’s been a heck of a coach since
To be fair, he did have a rather long career (started with the Bears before he signed with the Colts), put up some okay numbers, and did make one Pro Bowl.
Sounds like Steve Spurrier’s and Mike William’s lives after football was coaching football, essentially lives with football 🤔
Love your video TPS and keep up the great work you are awesome
Steve Spurrier was such a phenomenal coach but if he was a coach with Carolina Panthers in the NFL maybe a Super Bowl Ring would be great 7:40
First time anyone has ever heard of Rich Campbell 😂
That's kind of heartwarming to know
So I saw online that Ara Parseghian was forced to retire from the NFL only 2 years into his career after a hip injury. He would later go on to be the head football coach at Miami of Ohio, Northwestern and Notre Dame. He won some championships, 2 of them national championships, received some Coach of the Year awards and was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 1980.
Mandarich's comeback with the Colts wasn't "failed", do more homework
I love these vids
Finally saw it last night & I loved it. I plan on buying it too.
What’s up TPS
When I'm away from you, that's my favorite Bellamy brothers song!
I was thinking Terry Crews and Bill Goldberg but then they were not high draft picks
Ditto
1989 draft best ever?
Lmao I never paid attention to who the fansville sheriff was smh
Mike Williams actually had a really good year with the Seahawks.
How about nfl legends that had another successful career after football?
Good video
Johnny Manziel 🤷♀️
Doesn’t seem like he’s doing great after. He was playing for some fan league. The point of the video is you’ve gotta be a high draft pick, be a bust or have career cut sort due to injury and then start a career in which said player has done rlly well in.
Should Terry Crews be in this list? Think he was a Charger but thankfully acting worked out better for him.
Crews was an 11th round pick, the draft doesn't even go up that high anymore. Bust would mean 1st, maybe 2nd round pick, being an 11th rounder nobody really thought he'd do much in the NFL anyway.
Mandarich did not have a “failed return to the NFL”. He was a three year starter at Guard for the Colts. Did you even do research?
Mamdarich was actually quite serviceable in Indy. Not great but ok. 🤷
Tim Couch didn't actually lead the Browns to the playoffs in 2002. That was Kelly Holcomb, who came in after Couch was benched midseason. Not a Browns fan but still remember that lol.
I wish that Tim Couch was drafted by the Panthers so that way he could've won one or two Super Bowl's cause as a 1st Round 1st pick in the 1999 NFL Draft the fromer University of Kentucky Wildcats instead of playing for Cleveland 4:50
Tim Couch married a former Barker’s Beauty named Heather Kozar.
Pretty sure everyone that was drafted by the Browns wished they were drafted by someone else.
Tony Romo
Can’t be a bust if he wasn’t drafted 🤦♂️
@@martyenglishiii5099 Good point. I had totally forgotten he was an undrafted free agent. Thanks.
He also wasn’t a bust
I think it was TO who famously said, in tears. "That's my teammate, that's my Quarterback." LMAO
JaMarcus Russell
Henry Ruggs 💀
Makes no sense. He wasn’t even a bust.
Bro what?
@@Zalwalloo😅😅
I find it interesting that this video did NOT mention that David Carr was drafted out of Fresno State while the other players on this list were mentioned. Where is the consistency?
The Great Larry Stegent
First guy looks like the teacher from karate kid
Not a bust, but Alan Page went on to become a justice on Minnesota’s state Supreme Court
Heath shuler went to my high school
I still have a Tim Couch Rookie Card
Bill Goldberg Went from a low round draft pick with Atlanta Falcons to a successful pro wrestler and actor
You jus said it low round draft pick so he wasn't a bust. Jus found more success elsewhere
Late rounders aren't busts
Do one player from every team that was good in their rookie year but sucked afterwards
Kirby Smart
He wasn’t even drafted. Might as well of said Nick Saban considering he was a better coach and wasn’t drafted either,
You can go with either one they both signed contracts in the NFL
Tony dungy
I wouldn’t consider David Carr a bust. He played 11 seasons in the league. I think mostly as a starter.
I went back and looked at his stats. I was wrong he was a bust. I take back my previous comment.
Oj Simpson- crime
If you make it to the league you are not a bust
Bill Goldberg.
Bill Goldberg
Why are som many packers🙁
Another Nittany Lion, Todd Blackledge, is a much better broadcaster than he was an NFL quarterback.
Terry crews … or the rock should haven been on here
👍🏾
Jessy Palmer
Only thing David Carr can teach those kids is how not to succeed in the nfl...whooop!!
Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson
how is a 7th round pick a bust
Lets just say....not every franchise is great to play for. Many players go from a functional College Program with great Coaching to a team that is dysfunctional. Oh yea....Bo Jackson ran over everyone!!! Ask all the Bronco defenders.
The NFL is not for everyone
Saying first is overrated
🥇
First
🥇
Brock lesner
Damn i miss the real redskins
I miss them and real NFL.
As soon as you said Andrae Ware, "first black quarterback to win the Heisman", I stopped the video. Here it is 2024 and we're STILL doing THAT crap? Why not just say Andrea Ware who won the Heisman, in blah blah blah year? You don't do that for running backs, white quarterbacks etc. It's freaking disgusting. Give the man his flowers, but leave race out of it . Hell, we can see he's black.
Triggered much??
@@dennisblunt6580 You DON'T get to tell ME how to feel or what I feel. I stand by what I said, furthermore, don't come at me like that!!!!!!!!
@user-dj1sg3hm5i I just asked how triggered were you. Do you need a safe space when race is mentioned?
@@dennisblunt6580 It's an observation and I stand by what I said in my original post, and maybe I am triggered by race, but not in a racist way. I'm sick and tired of the first black this, the only white to ever do that, the first Hispanic this, the first Asian that, no European has ever done this, first African to win the blah blah blah, sick of it. Why can't we just recognize the person and their success as just that, success in that moment. I get it, trust me, but when are we just going to say, "he's/she's accomplished and just set a record or whatever". Caitlyn Clark is a phenomenal basketball player, but they were saying, " first woman to ever do this, first woman to ever do that". Again, I get it, but it drives my nuts. Why does race/gender have to be tied to it? I certainly understand why that was necessary in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's etc but 2024 we're STILL doing this?
@user-dj1sg3hm5i because it's important. And on a much smaller note, they are good conversation starters and good for trivia. Acknowledging firsts doesn't hurt anything. Those people paved the way for others in their sports/sectors. Like do you really get mad when people mention Jackie Robinson? How can someone be mad about that?
