The more videos I see about the Polyend Tracker, the more it appeals to me. I have been psyched about this product since its announcement in March, should of ordered one when I had the chance! My question is, can you connect a controller to the device to play the nintendo roms?
Man that is such a great question... I really had not even thought of that! Playing games with the Tracker buttons is fine but it cant compare to years of muscle memory playing on an actual controller. I guess it could be done with a firmware update to allow the buttons to be configurable but that's really up to the developers or someone smart enough to figure out a way to do it. I do have to agree with you. It really is special and definitely on the trajectory of becoming a classic in my opinion. You wont be disappointed if you pick one up. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year btw!
What would be even cooler is if they did some gaming console sound generation machines in the tracker to get SID etc emulations going on in the machine itself as well as sample playback :)
That might be totally possible. Recently someone posted in FB group a video where they managed to load separate tracker software (Impulse Tracker if I'm not mistaken). Not sure to the extent of how well it worked, but at least knowing that emu's and existing software can be adapted to work within the Polyend Tracker might be the catalyst to do exactly that.
I suppose this is where having a SID Station might pay off. It would be nice if you could capture samples from the games internally but fortunately I have a refurbed NES, NES Classic and a hacked Wii full of Nintendo games.
Hi, no you cant, at least not in real time. You could record sounds to your computer and then sample them with the Tracker, but as far as live recording I dont think it's possible... unless you use two Trackers at once :)
You can just look for .nes roms online and load them to your sd card in the folder called Games. Not all all .nes roms work but the ones that do should load right up. Cheers!
I think in the moment you have to use the power button. I saw that on one of the beta software versions they added a method to exit game mode, but not in 1.3.0 as far as I know.

No, there is only one USB Port and thats for power
This is probably the only music device sporting this great feature. Thanks for pointing it out 😊

Reminds me of about a year ago when I saw Bit Brigade speed run MM2 in difficult mode!
Mega Man 2 is a favorite. Can't wait to pick a tracker up hopefully next week!
Definitely one of the games I played most back in the day
😮😮😮 I get mine tomorrow!! Now I’ll be playing Megaman instead of making music on it!!
Hahaha! I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've stopped making a tune while saying "Well, just one quick round of MM2 wont hurt ..." ;)
Now I need it
Sounds good.
no way, need one
ok... but can you sample from these games??

How did you add all the different games to your unit could you guide us through the process?
You can just look for .nes roms online and load them to your sd card in the folder called Games. Not all all .nes roms work but the ones that do should load right up. Cheers!
I'm bad enough at Megaman with an actual controller already! Can't imagine just how terrible I would be trying to play with that interface haha
Wtf mega man on the Polyend lol how does it mess with your storage?
It doesn't, the roms are very small, usually less than 500kb 😁
@@aymatorgone more question how did you get the game in the tracker? And can I play og Pokémon?
@@screamotraplord sorry for the late reply, you just need to look for nes roms online and then load them to your sd card
How to close or exit the game mode?
I think in the moment you have to use the power button. I saw that on one of the beta software versions they added a method to exit game mode, but not in 1.3.0 as far as I know.
Just switch it off.
So... Polyend Doom?
This isnt legit is it? This is TOO cool.
Can you sample it?
No not directly into the tracker while you're playing, although you can run the audio out to a different sampler or directly to your pc .
Can you disable this nonsense?
you can just NOT use it. Crazy right? 🤷🏻♂
