I did the same thing with the front and rear panels when I built that kit for the first small scale group build. Looks much better that way. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this build

Nice update on the vette, it’s looking good, I’m building the amt Avanti and the chassis is the same way, part of the body is molded into the chassis, it will have to do, they are not very good models detail wise, thanks for your update!
