Personally, I thought this would be a great opportunity to include this as a game mode - battle in Hazmat suits in areas contaminated with Nova 6 - let's you hide in the clouds, and you have to watch your suit. You'd have to make the heat vision like top tier reward since it nullifies the whole point, but still.

What scares me more was that when the US finally learns what danger they were in with the revelation of the Nova 6 deployment in US, they quickly switched to DEFCON 2 and prepares strike first. Then it comes a game of Chicken, if they were wrong and the Soviets weren't going to use the gas, America essentially nuked them first. But if the Soviets were going to but America believes they won't, then they'll be gassed. If the game it's clear, the President would have authorized the attack, nuking the Soviets first, on the grounds they MIGHT use the gas. A nuclear war could have happened because of the dirty dark actions the two sides did, and the mistrust boiled from them.
Basically 'The Cold War' in a nutshell, the Cuba missile crisis was bad but 'Able Archer' was a NATO drill that almost ended in nuclear war just in case you needed any more nightmare fuel.
It wasn't because the choppers are getting on there way over there it was when they enter the facility that's why renov aka Mason said the CIA went fully alarm
If you die as Hudson at any given time during this mission, right before you respawn at the last checkpoint, you hear the heart monitor flatline, but then it come right back on for one heartbeat, like this: "Beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep... beep." I like to pretend that Hudson comes back to life for a split second to drop the f-bomb, then dies again. Lol
I played through the whole game, and it didn't make sense in the level "revelations" that Reznov was dead and a figment of his imagination because I was younger at the time. Now I understand perfectly. But I don't understand how at 5:28 makes you realize he was part of his imagination. they tell you in "Revelations" anyway.
the pure epicness of this mission is just insane for me, specially when you play as Hudson. that badass rock music playing as you push through the streets of Rebirth Island, killing every hostile on sight… just beautiful

While there are a lot of anachronistic things in black ops you just can't include an aks-74u which is named 74 because it was developed in 1974 (like ak-47 for 1947) in a setting of 1968. It's like putting an ak-47 in ww2.
The sound of the metal door opening in 3:11 is the same sound of the metal gate opening in Breaking Bad Episode 4: 'Bullet points' timestamp 42:11. I've played this game so many times that when i was watching the series i could instantly recognize the sound of the metal gate opening in that episode.
