Well, Zhang Jike is inconsistent now but I think he still has the capability to beat Ma Long in him. Zhang and Fan were the only 2 players to beat Ma Long in 2016 world tours. I think the big part of the reasons to Zhang's performance wasnt his interest but because of the chronic effect from his shoulder injury. That injury doesnt allow him to play powerful shots consistently like he used to.
Q Pham his injury is just a part of the reason, it's because he trained really hard before grand slam but after that he lose interest and the injury makes him uncomfortable so there's no chance that he can beat MaLong even when MaLong is actually getting weaker too

He is at risk of getting burnt to the forehand. To do this, he would have to predict the serve very well, which I suppose he is unable to do or is not confident to do.

These players are so good that they don't make many un-forced errors. Their errors are caused by the other players speed, spin and placement.
