Sarazar Ich finds immer wieder cool dich hier zu sehen XD Vorallem weil du ja in deinen Sets eher deep House etc. spielst... Und dich dann unter videos wie hier oder Leshuuk zu sehen find ich echt cool!!!
this is a cool dj set. the full band was something impressive, b/c they did something different. Full on Modestep was a killer, a NAVY SEAL of music at their height. Together they were insanely good. It was rock, it was dubstep, it was drum n bass, it was pop...it changed, it was fluid, it kept everyone interested. this is something the dude who actually DJs can do by himself.
you're a talented drummer and presumably a talented musician in general. i would think that you would at least be self-aware enough either to put it some damn practice or to not play gigs at which people pay money to see you struggle to DJ.
I feel bad not giving constructive feedback. First, try and match tracks with similar BPM. Mix the last 16 beats with or 32 beats with the build up of your next track. When you first bring the track in bring it in at 60% volume max. This increases to 75% at 16 beats out. Then 100% on the last 4 beats. The build up you introduce should be at least the first 16 beats of the build u of your new track. Make sure you bass is turned down completely, mid fully up (or about 75%) and high down to 70%. When the drop of you new track drops you should completely drop the old song out and your new song hits max volume on the last 4 beats with all faders at 100%. Bring your high and kid faders in to 100% between the 16, 12 or 8 beats remaining. Your bass should come up to 50% around 16 or 8 beats. And then 100% with 4 beats left. You will need to simultaneously take the bass of the old track out with 16 beats left to about 70%. Then down to 0% with 4 beats remaining. The volume at this point should be down to 75% as well. This isn’t gospel but it’s something you can work on over and over to get a feel for what works for you. You want to avoid people hearing your tracks come in all crazy, and they MUST come in on the right drop please! If you have a track that doesn’t match in terms of BPM then do a straight drop out and drop in from one to the other. You need the right tracks and have to do it either when the old song builds, and when it drops you bring the other track in straight up.
Wow... hahah the is djing horribleeeee I had to turn it off at that transition at 13mins in, super hard to watch, come on Germany why are you letting these jokes in your arena? You’re suppose to be the Kings of electronic music!
You have to remember that Josh was the lead singer for the band and the Pat was the drummer Tony, joshes brother, left and he was the DJ so now they are doing their best!
I love modestep, but I finally got a chance to see them live, and I must say that their DJ skills are on point now. Josh does keep screaming in the mic though :P
wow. neither of them are good DJ's, but the one dude is absolutely horrible. not only is he making mixing look like the hardest thing in the world, but he can't even beatmatch or listen to levels. painful to watch. boo.
oh god, you're right. I was like, ''well, another fucking hater'' when I first read your comment. You're 100% right god my ears were bleeding. I mean, a producer (main job) should not be a perfect dj, that's understandable but this is like my first 6 months at djing how can u be this bad lmao
Yeah, I'm really not one to comment negative things but in my opinion, there are no excuses for this poor of a performance when you have a large crowd that payed to see you. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing. I don't know if Modestep played before or after Virtual Riot on this night, but if I was subject to this joke of a set after Virtual Riot absolutely killed it, I would 100% walk out.
K. Liam Andes I wouldnt say it’s understandable, this crowd is one of the best crowds in the whole world according to most of the djs, producers they participate literelly every major event and there are people flying to Germany for parties like that, its not their problem and i think they shouldnt suffer because the guy is learning. He can practice somewhere else. Is this harsh now?
I miss modestep with full band set T_T

Damn... Modestep is really cool but looks like they aren't good DJs :/. That shit at 4:30 really hurt :(.

The guy on the right just started learning a bit ago how to DJ. He's a drummer. They'll get a hang of it.
