@@CEngelbrecht If you want to make excuses for child abuse that's up to you but I won't be doing it. Perhaps you got the word nonce muddled with ponce?
@@Wally-H No, I believe all the sequences " After Dark" or " After Closing Time" were from Smith and Jones. This would be from the earliest parts of their shows with the guest cast you see in this sketch.
@@Wally-H The guy who is the host character, Chris Langham, was one of the main cast of NTNON for the first 7 episodes, but was fired for certain reasons. Probably why one would think this is NTNON. :)
Oh dear, oh dear or dear.....😂

Jeremy Clarkson before Jeremy Clarkson re: Mel's character. Legend!!!
Mel was a genius
These are great--I don't understand why they are new to me--I was always a fan, and have bought all the DVDs (I thought).
Philip Croft
I was under the impression that only a small amount of “Alas” was out on DVD?
It's because these sketches are from Not the Nine O'Clock News, not Smith and Jones' own series

Say whatever you want about Chris Langham, but his comedy timing is just bloody hilarious!
He is an extremely talented man, that cannot be denied - such a shame that he turned out to be a nonce.

Kon-tiki fried chicken.
And I thought I had seen all of Smith and Jones. Seems not! Bloody hilarious! :)

@@Hammern28 Yes that probably is why I thought that - I do associate Langham with that series
I wish i could speak and understand english better. My english isn't that bad, but not enough to get all the jokes. 😢😢
think they lost it at 430 definately ad libbed
In a conversation like that today, the Mel Smith character would be a Brexiter, anti-masker, anti-lock down and COVID-19 denier. 😂
And then the song-a-dance sketch would end with him dying in an oxygen tent.
Griff has quite feminine hips and legs.
