(EDIT: this comment got kind of long, enjoy my yapping about WoW)
since you don't have a clear goal, i can go into some details, they might help you pick your next objective:
PvP is always an option, although i don't do them. you can do Battlegrounds or Arenas by accessing the PVP tab of the group finder.
for PVE there are are a few sections, most of which involve the rat race of increasing your Item Level and working on progressively harder content.
Gear goes in this order: Explorer (greens) < Adventurer (Heroic Dungeon) < Veteran (Raid Finder and Mythic Dungeon) < Champion (Normal Raid and Mythic Keystone Dungeon) < Hero (Heroic Raid and +7 or higher Keys) < Myth (Mythic Raid, and Vault gear after completing VERY HIGH level keystones)
First things first, most weekly content like the play will give you a Cache. do your weekly quests from dornogal (blue quest markers), the play, the hallowfall lighting of signal fires, the Awakening Machine event in the Ringing Deeps, and the Pact with the Severed Threads in the spider zone. the first 2 caches give you Veteran Gear, and the first 4 give you a Relic Coffer Key for bountiful delves. the rest only give crests, valorstones, etc for upgrading gear, which you will have plenty of both very quickly.
Bountiful Delves give progressively better gear, maxing out at Champion gear for Tier 8 Delves. personally, i highly recommend just saving all your keys for the time when you can run Tier 8. tier 4-8 is more about player skill than it is about gear. a lot of us were running tier 8 with similar gear to you, so feel free to just keep practicing at them, there's no need to wait until you have better gear. you can also find a treasure map (Delver's Bounty) that gives you an extra hidden chest at the end of your next bountiful delve. a hidden chest from a tier 8 bountiful will give you a Hero gear item. make sure you use the treasure map in your bags to activate it. (EDIT: OH! you GOT one of the treasure maps!! they are quite rare.) you CAN run a bountiful delve and just not use your key on the extra chest at the end. so don't feel like you need to avoid them.
Dungeon Farming is a very popular way to gear, although in this expansion, heroic and mythic dungeons are very lackluster due to the powerful champion gear from Delves, and the absolutely free veteran gear from caches. you need to do a +2 (the lowest key) or higher mythic Keystone dungeon to get the same gear as a tier 8 delve. most veteran players farmed straight up to tier 8 delves the first day they hit 80. that being said, you will likely want to do all 8 dungeons on mythic before doing a keystone since there are extra mechanics for each new difficulty and you should learn them first before trying a timed version of the run. i DO NOT recommend running normal dungeons at all at level 80. they still provide level 79 gear, therefore a full set of Normal Dungeon gear is not upgradeable at all, and will not provide you with enough item level to unlock Heroic Dungeons. (personally i think this is an oversight on blizzard's part, particularly for new players)
Raiding is another popular way to gear. Timewalking Raids (if available on a timewalking week) are very easy and drop Champion gear, in addition to a weekly quest for a champion item and a raid quest for a Hero item. for times when timewalking is not available, the Raid Finder is always available at player average item level of 567. Heroic Dungeons are available at this same time. Normal Raid is about as difficult as a Mythic dungeon. it is very easy to complete in a pug, however not following mechanics WILL result in you getting 1-shot. (Raid Finder and Heroic dungeons you can take mechanics to the face and not die.) there is also the Story Mode raid i commented on on the last video!
If you're not interested in gearing up at the moment, you can look at leveling alt characters (every level 80 gives all your alts a stacking 5% bonus XP buff, capping at 25% bonus XP)
or, you can work on professions. Fishing and Cooking are generally leveled together and can be very rewarding. you can also work on your mining and blacksmithing!
you got a Fractured Spark of Omens from your caches as well. these are combined to make a Spark of Omens which is used for Powerful Crafted gear using your Blacksmithing (or putting in a work order for a max level blacksmith to make something for you). we get 1 a week, however since you are behind, extra will drop for you from time to time until you are caught up with the rest of us. crafted gear is nice for filling in holes where bad luck is preventing you from upgrading a certain slot. discussing crafted gear would be a whole other post, as it is fairly complex.

It's really endearing watching new players. Everyone I play with has been playing this since they were 18 and are almost grandpas/grandmas and they all think they're the greatest, smartest thing in WoW. The positive and innocent energy here is refreshing. I say innocent because you aren't trying extremely hard to be positive, you're just enjoying the simple things.

Hi Zouty! Love the random WoW days where there's no real schedule... just doing whatever you want. I think part of the reason it feels so great is because it's truly a complete escape from the real world. NO responsibilities to worry about, no one telling you what to do at work: just a big, beautiful world to explore however you want. One time, after I finally got my favorite unicorn mount, I rode all the way from the top to the bottom of the continent of Kalimdor, just looking at the scenery. No quests, no nothing, just relaxing sight-seeing. :)
Guilds can be a lot of fun, but they're also a big responsibility. I had my own guild for a while and eventually got overwhelmed and gave control to someone else. Every time you sign into WoW, everyone will know and there really isn't any kind of privacy to do what you want. Everyone was always asking me to do dungeons and raids and quests, and it was really a lot of fun for a while, but I missed being able to play alone without answering a ton of messages.
Have fun when you move to New York! I used to live in Brooklyn until I moved to the Midwest a few years ago. Sometimes I still miss it. I don't know what area you're moving to, but hope you'll love it! Have a great week! :) ~Winnie

      @itszouty  9 днів тому +1

@jelliebeanbag that's true, getting to just immerse into the world is such a great way to relax. When I stopped recording for this video I walked around for a bit and soaked in some sights. And yes the one thing I am slightly worried about making a guild is that I know very little about the game as a while still which i think makes me not very qualified to run the show like that 😅. That's awesome you lived in Brooklyn, I like it there! I'm really excited to go back to NY haven't lived there in awhile.

@@itszouty I think if you find you're really wanting to make a guild, a lot of your regulars here in the comments would totally help you out with learning the ropes of being a Guildmaster. I know I would. But no need to rush into it... just take your time and see how you feel after you've gotten more game experience. :) My guild was labelled a "casual" guild because I preferred doing pet battles and sucked so bad at raiding (but everyone excused me because I'm a girl and they felt bad yelling at me in voice chat, LOL). I hope you'll do vlogs when you move to NYC! :)

I love to see this type of content, thats some of the coolests things to do in WoW, just hanging out doing nothing special.
Last weekend I've played with the boys and we spent the day hunting for tresures in Khaz Algar, it was pretty chill and we got a lot of pets and toys too, looks like the kind of adventure you might like to do as well.
Speaking of more "hardcore" content, you're about to be ilvl 567, when you hit it, you'll be able to do Heroic Dungeons and Raids (on LFR)!

So awesome seeing you getting involved in end game activities 😁 by the way: perhaps switch the role of Brann to Healer instead of DPS? I have also started with him as DPS but he is actually a decent healer now and still helps with damage. As a healer he throws heal potions on the ground and you can just pick them up when needed. Especially in higher tiered delves it will get even more difficult and you may not have enough self heal to stay alive during endboss fights 😅
Other than that, I can only say that I would really enjoy some VLOGS 😋 would be nice getting to see the face behind this lovely voice 😇😄
