Mr Professor: Congratulations for your lecture. This chapter present quite well the meaning of Gi-ii. In order to introduce the Gic-iic(critical energies) in abaqus (XFEM - cohesive elements for simulation of a crack propagation ) how i should derive them?My knows are the modulus (in tension compression and shear) and the strengths (in tension compression and shear).Should i have to make the additional experiments in order to get the critical equivalent displacements of a bilinear low (uc) and then to calculate the area and get the Gic-iic? Thank you very much for your attention and I'm really sorry for the inconvenience I may have caused to you.
Not found anyone else who dared to explain with inner details of derivation and establish the science. Thank you Sir
Sir I'm very thankful for your great help.
