This is awesome. We have a huge amount of wood slash from milling and debris from clearing for fire protection that we would like to turn into useful product vs. just release into the air. You mentioned the double-wall construction to protect people nearby from radiant heat, are there other design reasons to have a double-walled construction of the chamber?
Yes! The double-walled construction allows for more even heating and less cool spots.

Seriously looks like a roll off dumpster with D rings welded on the sides.
My idea precisely! I've been wondering if anyone had done that. Why not just buy a used roll off and seal the door with some fire rope? A second wall would be easy to tack on to a roll-off.
