- This video is a step by step guide on how to repair your t300 when it's experiencing a large loss of force feedback, steering wheel being off centre, or an erratic start up collaboration. This is the first time I have repaired one so if you've done this before and notice a mistake please mention it for others for some more accuracy for their repair.
what you need:
• Philips head and flat head screw driver
• JB Weld
• Small mixing bowl, piece of card or anything to mix the JB Weld on, along with something to mix it with (spoon, ice lolly stick etc)
• A lap top and on the laptop click this link and download this file (extract if need be)

• Soldering iron and solder
• Super glue
• A sharp knife
• Tweezers
• Hammer
• Pliers
• A lot of patience
Thankyou to the several guides I came across on several forums and Facebook and a big thanks to Geraint with his help and advice too

Thank you 👍
pro tip maybe dont run the wheel at 100% ffb all the time set it like 75% or 50% and turn the ffb up in a game that should fix it and if it still get's to warm "press ST - Mode button" for forced cooling :)
@coleryder3172 good tips. Had my wheel years and it spent the last 3 years or so in an outdoor office, was fine before that then I recently got it back and soon as I used it was failed, dunno if damp got to it or it damaged in transit. I never knew about the force cooling until about a week before I did this fix lol
@@JackTerry87 yeah that sucks great vid though
@@coleryder3172 cheers buddy, hopefully it helps a few people out
Thank you so much for this video, clear, concise and helpful. Saved my TX wheel base.
@mikentinohossi awesome. No problem at all. Glad it helped you buddy
I can't believe this video was only from a month ago. I'm trying this when i get the jb weld. Is it important that even the little bits of blue stuff are removed? One side of my magnet is really clean but the other side still has tiny little bits. Do I have to worry about those?
@maxmesker562 in my opinion mate, I would think it would be ok to leave the hard blue glue on and just put the jb weld on the rest of the wheel. I only did it as I've mentioned from research and written guids. But yeah I'd say would be fine 👍
@@JackTerry87 Thank you for responding. I'm really happy I found your video. I hope it works!
@maxmesker562 fingers crossed for you mate, if you need a hand then just reach out. It's honestly not as daunting as it looks, long as you've got a steady hand, take your time, you'll be good.
@@JackTerry87 Hey man, thank you so much! My wheel is working again. I hope it will last longer than a month this time😅. Would you recommend changing the fan or power supply? So far the wheel is working pretty good (forced cooling on).
@maxmesker562 oh that's brilliant news, well done 👍. If you used the jb weld and covered as much as I have then should be good for a long time. As for the fan or power supply I've read they can help, but there's also a 3d printed pipe you can get that goes from the fan and directly to the motor, it's ment to be far more effective than the fan change alone. If you look for the Facebook group thrustmaster owners group, look for the pinned post, and a mate of mine has wrote up everything to improve the t300 in great detail, everything's on there. I'm happy it's worked for you, do you find the ffb even stronger than before now? I feel it is, seems much more solid
i dont know how to remove the collar
@Phil787bYT which bit exactly do you mean buddy? The whole guide is here if you watch it. There's no steps missed out. If you follow the video step by step you will repair it

@@JackTerry87 yea my wheel collar was just really tight and i couldnt get it off but my dad helped me thanks for the quick response
@@Phil787bYT no problem, good luck with the rest of the repair
Awesome guide, spot on to how I repair mine. Just a tip, the bearings don't need to come off the shaft as the entire shaft can come out with the circuit board still attached to it :) it may save time!
Good shout, I did think there would be enough room for it, but it's what I seen done on a write up somewhere 👍
When i run the angle motor calibration app , it says "error pre calibration not found" and below "helping the wheel to auto calibrate. :(
@@ggggg895hungary what are you doing it on? A laptop or PC? Maybe uninstall it and reinstall it again mate
hello bro can u help me to fix t248 dynamo please just give information and thank u
@kakarotp2e182 I haven't done anything with one but I can try and help, or I'll get gold of someone who may. What's the issue?
Good morning.
what super glue do you use?
@sebastienhaumont1685 I just used a cheap one from a supermarket, the quicker drying the better though so you can finish the job sooner if anything lol. But any superglue will do really, as long as it bonds most materials (metal wood plastic etc). But no need to get anything fancy or expensive.
Class video mines been in the loft for years version 1... Basically whennim playing all of sudden tge wheel goesvout of alignment like the last part of this vid... Im gonna try this an see if i can fix it
@cater4anytink45 yeah try the last bit of the video first mate but doing it halfway through playing usually mean the motor as the glue is overheated. Give the last go a try but failing that, the whole guide is there for you to fix. Mine is version 1 also
@@JackTerry87mate your the f'ing man followed your complete guide and it only bloody worked.. i bought my wheel when they 1st came out, it broke after a yr of light use and as i didnt register it i put it in the loft an vowed to never buy thrustmaster again again.. Anyway thankyou mate👍🏽👍🏽
@cater4anytink45 no problem. It's great to hear you've given it another life. It will be nice and strong now but do take a look at forced cooling with it for extra help, hold down mode and optins/start together for a few seconds until the light flashes red twice. The fan will always be on then and help keep the motor cooler foe longer
thank you so much , could you please open the core of the motor and see how many magnets are inside it? or the black cylinder is the magnet itself ?
@RezaSimRacing yeah the black cylinder itself if the magnet, you have the 2 silver wheels on the rod and the black cylinder, it's hollow inside other than the shaft going through it
@@JackTerry87 thanks a lot
@@RezaSimRacing no problem
Great video, do you fancy fixing mine 😂 Are you near Bolton?
@tog2842 I'm about an hour and a half away from Bolton lol. But honestly buddy it's not as daunting as it looks. Even if you don't have all the equipment, buying it all is still a lot lot cheaper then sending to thustmaster themselves or taking to a shop to repair 👍. Not sure how I feel about fixing someone else's, I'd hate the responsibility of if it didn't go right or did the work and that wasn't the issue lol. But I think I covered most the basics that match those symptoms. I'd say give it a go yourself, and if still not confident to do it's etc then contact me, I'll try and help 👍
@JackTerry87 Thanks man, appreciate it . I will get the solvents ordered and give it a go. Cheers 👍
@@tog2842 good luck. Let me know how you get on
thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
@Jayden-710 thats ok. Have you done the repair?
Good job Thanx
Hopefully it's a useful video
Thank you very much for the information my friend, I managed to fix my steering wheel and it was perfect thanks to your video. As a thank you, I mentioned your video on my UA-cam channel in the video showing the repair I made to my steering wheel based on your video. God bless you.
@Coisadiybricola no problem at all that's great news, glad it helped you fix yours and thank you very much for the mention, it's great to see more videos like this being made for other languages to understand, good work 👍
