I think you were kinda like Blizzard Wolfang himself at that time (especially the lonely part). Listening to this theme while thinking about your comment and Wolfang's tragic backstory really brings out the sadness and loneliness out of it.
It's a different situation but you might want to replay it again during these trying times. That isolation feeling just resurfaced with the chaotic state we're in, might as well hit the nostslgia mood now while you can.
For me the melancholic theme represents the tragic figure of the Stage Boss, Blizzard Wolfgang. He has a depressing story, being blamed a crime he didnt commit and labeled as a "maverick".

It had some creative ideas sure, but creativity by itself isn’t worth much without being well executed. Overall I consider this game pretty creatively bankrupt. If you’re just talking about the music, it is pretty good, but most of its best songs were ripped from X5.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I had been waiting to move to Japan since 2016. In early 2020, I was told I'd be going. The pandemic stopped my flight, and Japan closed. I was told I could finally go in 2022. Quit my job, said goodbye to family, and sold my car only to have my flight canceled 3 days before, my dog of 18 years die on, jobless, back at my parents' house, depressed, broken completely and I remember going to the park and working out hard because I lost everything. This track makes me cry because I lost my dog, my best friend, my little brother, and hopes. I fought hard, and I made my dream come true. Still have some sort of PTSD from the loss of my dog but, yeah megaman x music is where the magic happens. Thank you, God, for allowing me make my dream come true.

Blizzard Wolfang felt guilty not because he pledge his alliance to the Maverick, but because he couldn't protect his team from a Maverick attack long ago. He led an investigation team to the Artic Area, and was attacked by a group of Maverick. He disposed of all of them by himself, but the rest of his team was terminated. So it's some kind of a survivor's guilt. Then he got framed by reseachers that were jealous with Gate, and staged an execution that Alia herself participated in, throwing him into the Arctic Sea. Zero knew about this incident tho. And when he confronted Wolfang about it, Wolfang assured Zero, telling Zero to not think badly about him. He is reluctant to fight the Hunters, and knows full well the danger of facing either X or Zero, but his master, Gate, had given him a second chance and a second life, thus he would follow Gate's order even if it means his second life will end. When we put the story that way tho, he is less of a bad guy, and more of a tragic hero that had his life completely fucked in every way

It was easy for me too (but not much if you not use any armor or go with Zero w/o items), but there are way easier bosses on the game like Yanmark. In Extreme is pretty hard BTW. And compared to the rest of ice bosses it could go like this: 1.- Blizzard Wolfgang 2.- Blizzard Buffalo 3.- Frost Walrus 4.- Chill Penguin

I like X6’s music, and Mavericks; but I haven’t seen much else I like, level design is horrible from what I’ve seen, that one gimmick where’s there’s a randomized thing in each stage; I forgot what Mavericks stage it was, but you tp through this thing and you have a small chance to get the l i g h t capsule
Not to mention some of the reploids that you need to get basically can be corrupted my a nightmare thing and you’re screwed lol

Bittersweet indeed. In part 'cos wasted on a pain-in-the-ass game that leads to a lot of these tunes causing Gamer PTSD for some.
The only ice based boss who can be dangerous (take that Chill Penguin, Blizzard Buffalo and Frost Walrus!) and is NOT the starter boss than expecting.
Really? he is easy af for me.
It was easy for me too (but not much if you not use any armor or go with Zero w/o items), but there are way easier bosses on the game like Yanmark. In Extreme is pretty hard BTW.
And compared to the rest of ice bosses it could go like this:
1.- Blizzard Wolfgang
2.- Blizzard Buffalo
3.- Frost Walrus
4.- Chill Penguin
