Love this! I’ve been cooking for my fur baby food for 5 years now (since 2018). He started having medical issues such as ulcerative colitis and since completely taking him off kibble or fresh pet food his health is much better. He’s 15 years old and the vet says he’s in great health. I switch up his menu but his favorite is ground chicken with brown rice green beans & carrots. 💜

I am so happy your making his food! I have done a lot of research after my one dog has seizures. It was his dog food! And the things those companies put in the food is horrible and can actually shorten their lives! One thing, you may want to add chicken liver. A lot of nutrition they need is in the liver... Thanks for sharing! Fella is so sweet and cute!

I too am so glad you did this Tiffany, commercial dog foods are not good, they have so many fillers and some companies actually burn the kibble which is so bad for dogs. We lost our only 5 year old Rottweiler last summer and my husband swore it was the commercial food we were feeding him. We got a puppy and since day one have had him on homemade food. His coat is completely stunning, he is so healthy, has so much energy. I hope a lot of your followers will start doing this too, its more work and time but so worth it!

The absolute best thing you can do for your dogs!!! I have been making my dogs food for over a year now. I make it for the entire month and just refrigerate one week at a time, freeze the rest. My vet is amazed at how healthy she is (Nina 8yrs old)😊! She was having so many health and digestive issues.

You can always put the shell in a ninja, that's what I do, and it makes the shell tiny almost like sugar. It helps get that extra calcium. Add some salmon oil in there, too! And as you said, yes, they will poop less. A lot of grocery store foods have added fillers, corn, by-product, etc... I know too much about dog food and could go on forever. Anyways, great video! ❤❤

My dog Daisy loves her homemade food too. I do the same ground chicken or turkey. She used to not eat the veges mixed in so I had to process them in the food processor to mix in. I sometimes also add some chicken livers and giblets for extra protein. Love that your making homemade for your Fella! My dog now refuses to eat the crunchy but I buy her Fresh Pet to mix in as well for the needed vitamins etc. You make the best videos! 🐾

I give mine ground chicken or turkey, low fat cottage cheese, fresh green beans, pumpkin, oatmeal or brown rice, boiled eggs. Plus I give her an 8 in 1 vitamin. I feed it to her right out of the fridge after it’s cooked. I don’t want to expose it to the microwave too much. She’s 12 and her blood work is awesome. I also add strawberries and blueberries when I have them.

I use to make homemade for one of mine that had allergies & I prepacked them in ziploc baggies in the freezer & it worked well ! Our cats would only eat dry food too...but we lost one to a kidney issue & the vet said it was due to only eating dry food ? I've had cats for years that only ate that & lived long lifes. But when that happened we started offering wet food too & they eat both now ! Just FYI !

Since feeding as a topper to carb filled kibble may be more beneficial to feed topper that is meat, organ/innards, fish, egg, homemade bone broth. Consentrate on leafy greens, herbs, low glycemic veggies and berries as the plant based portion. Also harder for dogs to digest cow milk same as humans, so raw goat milk is a better option. If you still want to feed cow based use Kefir instead of yogurt. I've fed my dog homemade only past 5 years 5 months and staying connected to well known online holistic vets, purchasing books and watching occasional online Pet Summits has taught me what's best to feed a Carnivore.

If you decide to just give all homemade, there is a percentage of carbs and proteins they are supposed to have and that percentage changes throughout their life. And you would give him a doggy vitamin that you can get at PetsMart. Don't remember the brand, but I had a dog that only ate homemade food and we used a recipe from the vet and gave the recommended vitamins.

You should add tumeric & pepper to activate the tumeric. Liver, chicken hearts, and beef kidney. Dog's need the vitamins and minerals in organ meat. Some kelp powder for iodine, powdered egg shells for calcium, coconut oil in the pan for fat. Dog's need fat in their diet. Leave the kibble out, that kibble looks low quality which isn't healthy for your dog.
