Thanks a lot for the tuts Marcus! Been watching them all from lesson 1. Really nice of you to actually cover the stuff in these later vids that you said you will cover later.
Hey Marcus! Great job again! This helps a lot. It was good to see the process and not just the finished parts because I got to struggle with trying to figure out why stuff wasn't working and ultimately you were able to figure it out so I wasn't completely stuck. One thing: if I select, say, the path corner block and I click on one of the dirt blocks that loaded in from the first layer, it does change the sprite. This leads me to believe that the tile was changed; however, when I walk into that tile's space (now thinking it's a second layer tile) I am still rendered on top of it. Is that what yours was doing at the end of this video as well or did I do something wrong? (You probably address this in lesson 15 but I haven't found time to watch through that yet so sorry if my question is redundant). Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your tutorials. Just had a question in mind. Were Algorithms and/or Design patterns used in in your game-developing tutorials? Are they relevant here at all?
Those are relevant in any field of Computer Science. I tried to keep things as simple as possible for these tutorials but game design can generally incorporate a wide range of skills that you would learn in a College curriculum. Data structures, Algorithm implementation and analysis (especially run-time) ... you name it!

Thank you sooo much man for your hard work! That was a very big piece of knowledge. I hope to see new videos soon :D
I know this is somewhat old but if i maximize the window, all of the tile layers disappear except for the fill layer and the player. any idea why?

Marcus Can you give me a tip how a collision will look like in this game?
I've been working on a follow up for this video on exactly that...unfortunately finals came along.
Okey. So i will be just waiting. Maybe I can figure something out by this time.

Do you have any plans to be a professional game dev? You could definitely pull it off.
Yep! Thanks!
