After buying some 2.5 mms needles like these to make socks using magic loop, I liked them so much I found on Amazon they sell a whole set of them in a cheap and cheerful case for about £12 I was miffed at the sizes as they were in mm on Amazon but not on the packaging It never occurred to me they were the old UK sizes !!! I will get them out again and have a look at them. I thought they were some random Chinese system unknown to me, I also have some crochet hooks with odd sizes wonder if they are old UK sizes too 🤔

if you have a needle gauge it gives old english sizes and the equivalent in mm
