Myrtos, Crete, walking tour 4k, Greece 2022

Myrtos is a coastal village in the west of the municipality of Ierapetra, in the Regional Unit of Lasithi on the Greek island of Crete. It is located 50 km from Agios Nikolaos and 15 km from Ierapetra, on the road to Viannos. A little to the west of the village is the iconic conical Kolektos mountain.

I was in Myrtos 2 years ago in August. Lovely place, perfect to relax. Beautiful long beach. You can visit the archaeological site on the hill, there is a beautiful view. I recommend going to Tertsy, the next village behind Myrtos. 6 km. I went there :)

Yeah, you are so right. Tertsia is ( you can see it on this film ) right behind the mountain, around the corner. Also its very easy, when you have no car, to take the bus to Ierapethra !!! Its a very nice tour, and your being there whitin half an hour.

Can you get from Myrtos to Sedonia and then Retymno? Or is the road difficult?

Of course you can, but Sidonia is way way on the North East but you can do an amazing drive through the vibrant villages ;) Cheers
