Testing Goodwill Radioshack HD90 tapes, in the Netherlands

Some people are very kind. Here's the story of how I acquired a 5-pack of Radioshack HD90 cassettes. They surprised me!

I have some Realistic Tandy supertapes from the 80s and 90s. In Australia. They still play well.

@@rollingtroll Well perhaps. They just always flown under my radar because of their budget leanings but I see that was a big mistake! I never see them out in the wild at garage sales or Salvation Army type places.
Even when Radio Shack stores were around I simply never went in there for blank media. But now I will scour eBay and see if I get any hits. They are likely not to be too expensive.

NICE! Maxell... Rebranded 2002-'05 era "UDII-CD", if I'm not mistaken 👌💯

They sound so much better than normal UD's honestly, I had no idea that UDII was that good!
Would explain why the thing biases exactly like UD!

@@rollingtroll Your example sounded excellent! I used a lot of these in the past, but only on 2-head decks which were factory calibrated for XLII tape, so I never heard them perform at their full potential like this 👍💯💯
(...also, btw, about these HD90's matching the UDII-CD, I just meant from the US market. I'm pretty sure they looked different in other countries.)
