@@nancyfarkas3592 please just stop. If you’re against it you’re against it but you’re being ridiculous. If they were so dangerous, it wouldn’t be such a big thing EVERYWHERE. And they even said they have all the other precautions but this is done as one more thing in case an ACCIDENT happens.
@@nancyfarkas3592 children can slip away from anyone watching them for a minute and it only takes a minute for them to climb a ladder into the pool and fall in.

I am so happy that you found and fixed a safety issue and are putting Ledger through ISR lessons. I know you are saying that car seat safety is also important to you so I would highly suggest conversing with a CPST in order to ensure your children are all in the appropriate seats for every ride. Car accidents are scary and I understand you went through that scare a few years ago. The way Ledger's seat was installed and how he was strapped in would give him very little protection in the event of an accident. I urge you to at the very least refer to the manual for installation and usage.

I came to say the same thing. He’s not in the seat properly and the seat isn’t installed properly. Just as drownings are a safety concern so is car seat safety.
Thank you for speaking up! Car seat safety is so important and all the big family UA-camrs only have the youngest in a car seat where more of them should be.

This is a really important topic tbh, last year we had an accident like this and it was like you said a blink and it happened during a party. If only he knew how to safe himself or just float for a bit he will still be here. So im glad to see you're doing this with Ledger and talking about this cause it's really important so thank you

@@nancyfarkas3592 yes i know children should never be alone near water, but sometimes accidents happen and I don’t think teaching a little kid how to float it’s dangerous or irresponsible in fact I think it’s really necessary when you have a pool and especially knowing how many kids died because of drowning. Like I said he was never alone, they were at a birthday party and it was in a blink of an eye and he went looking for a soccer ball so I think teaching them young to at least float it’s really important 🖤 have a nice week!

Rescue swimming is an amazing thing! Good job Ledger. So many parents also take their kids in the car without having them properly buckled into car seats please connect with an expert on car seat safety I’ve noticed several times that he’s not buckled in appropriately or the straps are adjusted for Mr. B and not him. Please check with a local car seat expert!
I have noticed the same thing with a few of the kids not being in proper seats. I hope that they see this message, and get informed.
I have posted the same comment before, hopefully it comes off as a caring as I intend. Yes i have also seen some of the other kids not buckled correctly with the shoulder strap behind them instead of on them as intended. A CST could educate them far better than I can.
@@melissasmith5341 I hope they take it as caring as well. Parents need to re-read up on car seat safety all the time, as it keeps changing. I know I did, as my oldest is 12 years older than my youngest.

I love that! Living near the ocean my parents taught me how to swim very early. This is fortunately very normal around here. Most kids can fully swim, dive and sometimes even surf before the age of 6. Oceans are super scary as they have dangerous currents etc. so we all know about that. The problem is the kids of tourists. They sometimes can't swim and parents even if they are the best parents on planet can't always have everyone totally under theire eyes. This is scary to think about. We also have great lifeguards here tho wich is great. But they can't prevent everything, they can't safe everyone
My daughters both learned swimming through lessons. My youngest was really young (before she was a year old) We thought it was important for her to learn to hold her breath and it worked. But when your children grow up with a pool better to be safe than sorry. Our daughters took more lessons later and the youngest became a lifeguard when she was in high school. Since then, three of our six grandchildren have become lifeguards. Water safety is a must if you have open water places around your home.
It’s the parent’s responsibility to protect the young! Im happy he’s getting the life saving skills. ❤️

Great advise! I made sure my kids could get themselves to the side of the pool by themselves. Thankfully my bro in law has an athletic style pool that is not as deep and meant for exercise. That really helped them learn and I could stand in the pool and help. Swim lessons important!
It shocks me the number of children and adults don’t know how to swim. My parents took us swimming from a young age. From holidays to splash parks to fun days at the pool. I will DEFINITELY teach any children I have to swim from a young age.

I have done swimming lessons for as long as I can remember. I’m now twelve and I’m on my last year. It is definitely a great idea to have your kid practice swimming, it definitely helped me.

So important! Please also look at Ledger’s seatbelt in his car seat. It’s all twisted and loose and will not hold up in a car accident. Twists cause the force from an accident to focus on those points instead of distributing evenly across the belt. I just think it’s vital to recognize that yes, like you said, it’s important that he’s in the car seat even if he doesn’t like it, but the seat itself won’t do much if the belts aren’t tightened securely and properly.

I love that you are so invested in swim lessons and you mentioned the importance of car seats. But Ledgers car seat is improperly installed and he isn’t buckled in correctly. Like you said, car seats are just as important and they won’t work properly if they are not used properly. Please fix his seat!
This is such a good skill to have from such a young age, I had a drowning accident when I was 8 in my local swimming pool and the lifeguard had to resuscitate me, I was clinically dead for a few mins and on life support for a few days, I have epilepsy as a result so would’ve been good for classes like that then, I’m now 46 but I don’t think they have them in the uk anyway, love you and your family, never miss a video xxx

In Australia you have to have a 1.2 metre high fence surrounding the pool. There can't be anything close that can be climbed on and the gate have to be a specific latch that can be locked.
I honestly don't know why other countries don't have this.
You can get large fines for not having it.
Even your pond would need to be fenced in Auatralia. As soon as its passed a certain depth it has to be fenced.

It surprises me how in America you don’t have to have pool fences. In Australia it’s illegal to have a pool without a fence.

swimming is important, I have a story about me..drowning so when I was 5 yrs old I went to a swim park that we booked with my mums friends and well while we were swimming I didn’t know who to swim that time so I used a floaty and I used to love sharing so when we were swimming I gave a girl my floaty I was holding on the edge after that I let go.. I drowned then when I woke up I saw myself on a chair my mum gave me water it was hard to breathe for the rest of the day but the important thing is that I’m safe and healthy now. ISR swimming lessons followed by actual learn to swim as they get older is key! Also when I taught 0-5 years old I worked on teaching them not to get in until their parent (or teacher said it was safe). A simple game

Recite- 1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready, 4 to...(Child must then say may I please get in) then adult asks them to jump or slip in the pool

I'm a water safety instructor and it's the MOST IMPORTANT thing you can teach, even a baby!!!! Teach them to roll over and float, then elementary backstroke (chicken, airplane, rocket).

Im so glad that you are putting him through this! I will mention though that the carseat that he is in is not the proper carseat. His size still recommends him to be in a convertible seat and not just a booster seat. The straps are also very tangles and not in the proper position!
I LOVE ISR swimming, it actually saved my 2 year old this past year from a drowning incident.
Learning to swim or at least not be afraid of water is so important...My nephew Never did learn to swim very well but his fear of water was gone..Session 1( 5 lessons) didn't get swim trunks wet.....Session 2..sat on side legs in..got in water...Session 3..yeah got in water..learned to float,etc...Yes..so important...My niece we started at at 30 months...she was like a fish in the water..by age 4 was jumping off diving board..even joined the Jr swim team...
Even without a pool in your backyard..little ones need to learn not to fear the water..and if accidentally get in water can get themselves out or at least float until help comes..it only takes a moment of panic for them to get in trouble...THANK YOU for the info..

The main reason why I became is a swim team coach is how many times people die from water and me loving water pools I want people to know how to swim so they can save them. Even though I’m a swim team couch and not a actual swim instructor I’m am very thankful that you recommend swimming lessons or even putting them in swim team because it will one day save your life!!
lifeguard here: this video is so important. you dont know how many parents just let there young children run into things like the lazy river, deep pools, or the wave pool. ive had to do so many saves bc of this.

This is a scary but important topic. i'm a 15 year old teen and last year during the summer i saved someones life. We were up north camping and we decided to go swimming in one of the lakes that they have. We got in and it was freezing and we wanted to go jump of the big platform they had so we were swimming and my friend went under water so i was thinking oh she just wanted to go under water so then when she came up it wasn't as cold. But no she was drowning. My dads friend was a little bit farther away then we so i yelled "Nick Shakira (23 year old) is drowning". I felt really happy that i caught it in time or else this would've been a sad vacation. Thank you so much for making this video. I love you guys so muchhh.

I agree with you so much. This is for kids 6months-5 years I believe. Please look into it if you have a pool or one close to you that the baby can possibly get to. Even a neighbors pool can be a danger if the gate accidentally get left open.

She was life flighted to childrens hospital and made a miraculous recovery.
