The Commonwealth was our common home, our world destroyed by Moscow's imperialism. I am Polish, but I have roots from Lithuania. My grandfather spoke Lithuanian . Our families mixed up many times.Lithuanian Kings ruled Poland. They rest in Krakow. Our armies fought side by side against our enemies many times .Lithuanians fought in winged hussar regiments. Greatest Hetmans of Commonwealth were Lithuanians. Our families and names got mixed up. We both have created culture of Commonwealth. Lithuanians ,nation of knights . Deep respect for you , and I wish you all the best.

Always? Lithuanians had mixed feelings about Commonwealth ever since its beginnings. It meant supressing Lithuanian nationality, but greater political and military might. We had no choice - Russia was rising.

Being half polish from my mother, I always wondered the Lithuanian point of view on the Commonwealth. I admire the lithuanian culture, true heralds of the slav culture
