Addiction is a mental health problem. Everything with responsible consumption & moderation. Like it’s good to have 1-2 drinks a day it’s healthy same with 2-3 cups of coffee a day not 2-3 cases or 2-3 pots of coffee. That’s addiction not the substances fault. It’s the demon in the mind triggered by something. Wether it be heart break, depression or lots of other things. The light shines brightest in the darkest of places. Stay strong & 💪🏽 Strong minded. Congratulations on taking control of your mind again H.O.P.E. Hold On Pain Ends 🙏🏽
I'm 13 years sober of crack Had a wife that died 3 years ago Hertz deeper than any pain imaginable but staying sober for myself and taking care of Mom and Dad till they pass on and then after that whoever else needs help in the world. Once you become sober you make it your life mission to help other people with problems along the way in the community it makes you feel positive and worth living 🙏♥️🦾🌎☮️⭐
@@43wagonwheel that's okay if you're weak and don't have enough strength and confidence in yourself that you would have a better life sober. Those kind of things distract you from the real challenges in life that make life worthwhile even though it hurts like heck
Still dealing with the traumas from service. Whiskey is slowly becoming a distant friend. Same with drugs and everything else that numbs pain for the moment. I love yalls music and just started listening to yall not that long ago. Thank you for the healing music yall make. Peace and love my friends. AATW 🇺🇸🤙🏻❤️.

Whisky and liquor almost took my life. Remembering those cold drunk nights where all I wanted to do was pass out on the train tracks in town and wait. By God's grace alone, I met Him at the deepest and darkest hole I'd ever found myself in. Sober since 12-25-2018. Yes, Christmas day. Got a call from the inpatient treatment center on Christmas ever that a bed had opened up and asked if I could be there the next morning. If that ain't a sign I don't know what is.
I lost a young friend yrs ago tracks ran between the bars that's where they found him, crying just thinking bout it was a hard service to sit through.took me awhile but finally got sober.
Clean since 2004….rehab twice….second one was in dual diagnosis in Tucson AZ to get at the root of my drinking…been good ever since…worked thru a lot there…
@@tjodogify congratulations on your victory. The battle is a hard one but winning can stand you up and give you pride and friends that don't want you to buy them a drink. Take it one day at a time. Reach out to me anytime 🐕🦺🇺🇲
This isnt just a famous baseball player. This is George Herman Ruth otherwise known as Babe Ruth. He not only was the most prolific hitter in what is known as the deadball era. (When baseballs were heavier and parks were bigger.) He was also one of the best pitchers when he started in the big leagues. He held records for pitching. Then switched to fielding and batting and set the major league record for home runs. That lasted until Hank Aaron broke it. He won many world series with the Yankees. Retired as one of the first five people inducted into the baseball hall of fame. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.
On Sunday, the 17th, my oldest son, aged 37, lost his life due to the complications from alcohol. Interestingly, he sent this song to his brother last week. He tried so hard to change his life, and he finally was trying to get some help, but his body just failed him.this song blew me away. I have 11 years of recovery and I can identify with this song.
This is bravery. Taking a road without alcohol is different. Dying trying to get happiness with whiskey is futile. Good music* please keep making more please!
After 31 years sobriety- my mouth still salivates at the word! Some women chocolate- this girls was whiskey. Drank a 5th a day. I’m blessed being sober though! Great song by the way!
I was a alcoholic and on pills. I’ve been sober 1 year as of 10/17/24. This song hit me hard. When it said I’ve done things I thought I’d never do I broke down crying. I waisted a lot of years drinking and doing drugs. Now I have cancer and I’d give anything to get those years back.
I remember the first time I saw the commercial from Health Canada that was finally saying it loud: "Addiction is not a choice it's a disease!" I though it would help alleviate part of the shame we often feel as addicts. Whether the substance is alcohol, pain-killers or cocaïne, we blame and shame ourselves instead of doing what would definitely be a lot better: learning to love ourselves and to deal with pain, anxiety and/or trauma. As I listen to this song and let the lyrics sink in, I am reading some if the comments that people wrote. I am happy for those who found the way to quit and stay sober. I am sending much love to all of us that struggle everyday with, not only the addiction itself, but the stigma that causes more pain (as if we needed that!?). Thanks for this song that not only inspired my comment but soothed my soul with the melody. I am not a big country music fan but believe that a good tune, well mastered instruments and lyrics that uplift my soul transcend the genres. Thanks for making all of this happen today!
This song goes right to my soul. It took my husband’s life. He went to rehab more times than I can count and just couldn’t get off of it. He ended his own pain two years ago with a bullet to his head.
Many of us here can relate to this message. All these dates verify this. Thanks for the song and support from all the brothers and sisters in arms. 12/3/2022
Saw y'all for the first time in Murphy, NC for the benefit for Shepherd's Men. Been wearing out the CD ever since! We'll see you in Atlanta next month! LOVE your music. You do so much for veterans. USA!
This song reminds me of the man I love and just lost, he had such a great heart but addiction stole every piece of joy he could have ever had. At least the struggle is over baby RIP
Cool song. So many great artists you never here on the radio. Wished radio would go back to the days when fans called in your requests, not the station
I'm sober since 2008. It was so difficult for me. 1 bottle of Jack and 2 of tequila. I've burnt my everything. Jow I'm fine . I can't stand even to smell it. Thanks for this amazing song brother.
Damn ... Speachless. Amazed, heartsick and honest as ever about my world and others too. It leads us down all the wrong roads, to all the closed doors, and throws us headlong into standing back up when we fall so very hard sometimes. But baby, it ain't how we fell.... It is all in his you get back up baby💜
Crazy road to be on going down but it’s more than possible it’s been almost ten years for me now and I can’t tell u how much it’s changed my life Don’t give up brothers god bless and our faith in Jesus I didn’t then but I am now and I have my life back !!!
