Whiskey almost took my life sober since 5-13-2008 it's possible to get your life back ! Reach out for help , before it's too late !
Amen
I just had my year on Oct 10. Didn't know how sick I was until I got sober.
Addiction is a mental health problem. Everything with responsible consumption & moderation. Like it’s good to have 1-2 drinks a day it’s healthy same with 2-3 cups of coffee a day not 2-3 cases or 2-3 pots of coffee. That’s addiction not the substances fault. It’s the demon in the mind triggered by something. Wether it be heart break, depression or lots of other things. The light shines brightest in the darkest of places. Stay strong & 💪🏽 Strong minded. Congratulations on taking control of your mind again H.O.P.E. Hold On Pain Ends 🙏🏽
5 years sober for me. Whiskey consumed my every thought. Still does many times. Alcohol cost me so many things.
3 years on 11/20/2020
Beautiful song and voices
I can feel this one!
Been sober since '97... it is a struggle I win everyday with help of JESUS.
❤✝️🛐🕊♥️
Jesus is the only one strong enough to shoulder sins. Praise you Jesus
Started sobriety today for the first time and this song comes on by to say stay strong 💪🏻
Hey friend I’m proud of you and you can do it!! Been sober for awhile myself
I'm 13 years sober of crack
Had a wife that died 3 years ago
Hertz deeper than any pain imaginable but staying sober for myself and taking care of Mom and Dad till they pass on and then after that whoever else needs help in the world.
Once you become sober you make it your life mission to help other people with problems along the way in the community it makes you feel positive and worth living 🙏♥️🦾🌎☮️⭐
Screw the sobriety
@@43wagonwheel that's okay if you're weak and don't have enough strength and confidence in yourself that you would have a better life sober. Those kind of things distract you from the real challenges in life that make life worthwhile even though it hurts like heck
@@sharonnicholson3393 My whole life has been sober. Although I know many with addictions.
This is bravery. Taking a road without alcohol is different. Dying trying to get happiness with whiskey is futile. Good music* please keep making more please!
Whiskey took my dad from me. Thank you for the song, it says what I haven’t had the words to say.
Thanks for helping us fellow Veterans get through one more day. Army guy who hangs out a bunch of Marines
Thanks, I really appreciate you. I have been, sober for 10 yrs. 10-19-13 I've really been letting myself slack lately. I Thank God for you.
This old vet has been struggling with the same thing but starting to do better. My new wife has been such a blessing to help me with so much.
I don't drink, or do any drugs, but I can feel the pain from this song.
On Sunday, the 17th, my oldest son, aged 37, lost his life due to the complications from alcohol. Interestingly, he sent this song to his brother last week. He tried so hard to change his life, and he finally was trying to get some help, but his body just failed him.this song blew me away. I have 11 years of recovery and I can identify with this song.
7 years sober my birthday gift to myself i thought jack was my friend instead it was my worst enemy 💯
I love whiskey and I'm bad with breakups. This song hits hard. Thank you!
Gorgeous. Beautiful message. Thank you brothers. Not a friend of mine either. 🇺🇸 ❤👊
I love it - I am sure many can resonnate with this new "HIT" of War Hippies! ❤
I've been playing this this record over and over. Such good music. Thank you for your service.
I’ll play this on repeat in every format I can find when I need to remember to take it easy on the brown party drink. Great song!
Any & all color party drinks..
You two make some of the best music I have ever heard. Keep it coming!
The whiskey took over my father. He never broke those chains. ❤️🩹
First time that I've ever heard this song.Man y'all sound great together.Thank You for your service.👍👍
8 years with out a drop, living the best years of my life!! You can do it brothers but you got to reach out!! Great song thank you!!
Cool song. So many great artists you never here on the radio. Wished radio would go back to the days when fans called in your requests, not the station
I remember the first time I saw the commercial from Health Canada that was finally saying it loud: "Addiction is not a choice it's a disease!" I though it would help alleviate part of the shame we often feel as addicts. Whether the substance is alcohol, pain-killers or cocaïne, we blame and shame ourselves instead of doing what would definitely be a lot better: learning to love ourselves and to deal with pain, anxiety and/or trauma. As I listen to this song and let the lyrics sink in, I am reading some if the comments that people wrote. I am happy for those who found the way to quit and stay sober. I am sending much love to all of us that struggle everyday with, not only the addiction itself, but the stigma that causes more pain (as if we needed that!?).
Thanks for this song that not only inspired my comment but soothed my soul with the melody. I am not a big country music fan but believe that a good tune, well mastered instruments and lyrics that uplift my soul transcend the genres. Thanks for making all of this happen today!
I hear you, man, but I’m burned out on people claiming it’s not their fault because “it’s a disease.” Time to take some personal responsibility.
Beautiful song 🙏🏽
Damn ... Speachless. Amazed, heartsick and honest as ever about my world and others too. It leads us down all the wrong roads, to all the closed doors, and throws us headlong into standing back up when we fall so very hard sometimes. But baby, it ain't how we fell.... It is all in his you get back up baby💜
Thanks guys! Semper Fi!
9 years, after enough to float a ship.

Semper Fi mack. True words
Amazing is all I can say!!!
Beautiful fiddle work
Thank you. Sadly, so very sadly, my family name is synonymous with alcoholism and I have witnessed the death and destruction of once alive people, that I loved very dearly, including myself and now my precious son. My sobriety date is July 7, 2020. Every day I battle the message I receive from hell, "it's just too late."
Wonderful song.
I feel the same way but it's not whiskey it's chronic pain keep it jammen brother
This is Farm Emo At it's finest
Reminds me of good 90s country
I know too many people struggling with alcohol addiction. Four have died from liver damage from alcohol. It’s so sad.
I'm sober since 2008. It was so difficult for me. 1 bottle of Jack and 2 of tequila. I've burnt my everything. Jow I'm fine . I can't stand even to smell it. Thanks for this amazing song brother.
❤❤❤
Most veterans can relate too so much of this song
Yep.
😢❤
Whiskey didn't rob you blind...it gave you the balls to quit what wasn't good for you and left you realizing you're already dead from the day you left your mama
Good song. There are always two sides to pleasurable things. Whiskey destroyed my relationship with my father. It made me alergic to alcohol, but I guess I drink some anyway. This is America. We tried proabition in the 1930's. It did not work. Americans don't like being told what to do even if it kills us.
😢🤯🥰
nice
👍👍👍
Wow. I saw you guys at the Trump NRA rally. Dood work guys! Chin up! I'll put this out there for what it's worth. Don't go selling that soul now boys. 😁 It has always been a long way home.
Whiskey you're no friend of mine
I trusted you and you robbed me blind
Of everything I had and you took your time
Whiskey you're no friend of mine
You left me face down in the freezing rain
All I wanted to do was drink away my pain
I've got nothin' left but my own shame
Whiskey you're the one to blame
I used to be a good man now I feel like I'm just tryin'
I used to feel alive inside but now I feel like I'm dyin'
I've done things I never though I'd do
I pushed away everyone I knew
It turned my heart into stone straight through
Oh whiskey all because of you
I used to be a good man now I feel like I'm just tryin'
I used to feel alive inside but now I feel like I'm dyin'
I used to be a good man now I feel like I'm just tryin'
I used to feel alive inside but now I feel like I'm dyin'
Whiskey you're no friend of mine
Whiskey you're no friend of mine
I'm leavin' you and takin' back my life
Oh whiskey you're no friend of mine
Alcohol if you addiction withdrawal can kill you. Other drugs make you feel like dieing.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
