  • Dr Adele Patrick FRSE takes us on a moving journey through some of the unique and surprising treasures within Glasgow Women's Library.
    The Glasgow Women's Library is home to extensive and rich collections celebrating and exemplifying women’s lives, achievements, and contributions in Scotland and beyond.
    Join our online short film premiere, where we will be giving you an exclusive tour with Dr Adele Patrick through this extraordinary archive, featuring some of its unique items - from badges and model buildings to photographs from drag king workshops.
    Sitting down with the RSE Head of Communications, Iagan MacNeil, Adele shares the library's inspiring history and speaks about the constellation of communities, local and international, that have formed around the library, contributed to its successes, and been impacted by its work.
    International Women's Day is every day for Adele and the Glasgow Women's Library. Spend the evening of Wednesday 8 March watching this live screening and listening to Adele’s unique perspective - we will look back together, take stock, and reflect on Scotland's women's rights movement through this series of wonderful artefacts.
    Featuring:
    - Dr Adele Patrick FRSE;
    - Iagan MacNeil.

    What a really interesting tour with Adele Patrick. I love the Glasgow Women’s Library & had the privilege of working on a project with them a few years ago to get more plays by women writers on their shelves. A warm welcoming space for everyone to enjoy 🙌🏼👏
