Love your video. Im going to try making my own spray today. Im one week loc’d and tried the rosewater, but it triggers my asthma. It’s good to know that glycerin is also an emulsifier. Im going to try lavender essential oils because I love the scent of lavender and should be able to tolerate it more than rose water.
@@JoyMorrisBeauty Glycerin is not an emulsifier itself, but it can be used as part of an emulsion system. Emulsifiers are substances that help mixtures of two immiscible substances, such as oil and water, to form stable emulsions. Glycerin is a type of alcohol that is often used in skincare and cosmetic products due to its ability to attract and retain moisture. In emulsions, glycerin can be used as a co-emulsifier or a humectant to help stabilize the emulsion and improve its texture. However, it typically requires the presence of other emulsifiers to create a stable emulsion.
I also don't use any oils. I shampoo only before reties..like yourself I never use a bonet when showering. I drink a lot of water and my hair has been locking🙂
Hi! I haven't been keeping my continous spray bottle in the fridge because I go through the product quickly...and I've gotten away with it not spoiling. But I do have a gallon of aloe Vera juice that I used to replenish my spray every several weeks and that stays in my fridge.
This length is awesome!
Thank you!

Thank you Sonya! Good luck on making your own spray, I hope you come up with something that you like! :) I also prefer lavender over rosewater.
I’m officially sister loc’d as of 6/27/22 😍so keep sharing the tips
Hey congrats that's awesome! Yes I'll definitely keep them coming. I have another loc update video that I'll be uploading very soon!
Glycerin is also an emulsifier so you don't need to buy polysorbate 80.
Hey thanks for letting me know! I didn't get around to purchasing the polysorbate 80 yet, so I'll just hold off on doing that 😊

I will try this spray this evening, my hair is thin but locs are hard feeling. Thanks
No problem! You can also just use the aloe Vera juice without anything else added and it should still be effective.

That's awesome Gloria! Yes I'm all about keeping it simple 😊
Do you have to keep this mixture in the refrigerator? I noticed the aloe vera juice I purchased says refrigerate after opening.
