I'm impressed with the drone you handle it well
I've got to get some sweet corn on the cob next time I go shopping!
A little surprised to see a CAROLINA freight trailer sitting just beyond y'alls field. Those are common down here in NC since CAROLINA was headquartered in Cherryville, NC but I doubt there are many of those around up there.
I love agriculture and its machinery, those massive yields whether it be ears of corn, chopped & conditioned for silage or even cut corn off the cob for the seed/canning industry. It films so unbelievable.. EYE CANDY for visually minded folks like myself, Incredible grand finally Corey capturing the beauty of the corn and corn stalks up-close at the finish of the video
Love sweet corn
I love these videos but sure would like to see what happens to the food after it is harvested, i.e., where do they take it too, how is it stored, etc.
Hey are these 30 or 38 inch rows .. just wondering ?
Great videos man!!! Hope you make more this year, would love to see tilling/seeding/spraying after the long winter if you have the spare time to get out there. Is this a DJI? Flying and camera work is top notch!
Thanks! This is shot with a DJI Mavic Pro, great drone! I am itching to get back out to film more equipment but this Winter just keeps hanging on.
Looks familiar. Is this on Wysocki land? I work for wysocki during harvest.
Awesome video. Keep it up.
Thank you! I really enjoy doing this as a hobby!

Wanted to know how it works
Since corn does not ripen all at the same time, what is done with the premature ears?
You aim for a percentage. They grade them one through four and you want a percentage of ones and twos but a majority being threes and and some fours. Four being almost over ripe twos being perfect and ones being immature. The field goes to far because of timing or weather sometimes you get bypassed and receive a portion of the price but nothing is harvested. We grew sweet corn for over forty years with three generations for the local cannery. It was a rotational crop for us not making as much as our green beans or carrots or table beets. I do miss corn harvest though. Number ones and fours make up creamed corn to answer your question.
How do they deal with the 8-12 rows blocked by the pivot system?
They pick around it to make room to move it later. The pivots have electric motors that run the wheels.
Has anyone in Wisconsin or else where for that matter seen corn that's like 16-18 feet tall?? has 6-8 ears of corn or more?I did, I was riding a motorcycle in Vermont 10 years ago, I was in awe, the other thing I never seen in my life, it had wet feet, which you always hear, "Corn don't like wet feet" It was a Bog like field, like a cranberry bog if you ever seen one, this field was at least a one foot depression, had water about an inch deep and dry spots the water was not touching, but wet, following me??Across the street was corn 3 & 1/2 feet tall, looked like typical dry land corn, looked deader than imaginable, just had not fallen over yet?? I am a producer, I am wondering if any one any where knows any thing, there were signs saying experimental corn, which I don't believe it to be, I seen a dozen cars pulled over here and there, tourists taking its picture with the tall corn, now imagine, there was no sign saying experimental corn, the farmer would have lost tens of thousands of bushels to sight see-ers Love to hear from an agronomist sincerely warren
I would imagine the harvest window for sweet corn is pretty narrow.
Another well done video! Seneca has frowned upon me filming them before, glad they allowed you to.
Thanks! I asked for permission and they didn't see a problem with it!
What was the song at the beginning?
what are those circles in the field ?
Probably where the irrigation units rolls back and forth across the field to water the crops. Crops tend to grow best if the soil is kept hydrated.
Its called a Pivot irrigation system, main feed is in the center, rest is easy stuff, like swinging a set of mechanical drafting dividers in a circle,
Glad these are in use now. Greatly enhanced efficiency and huge reduction in illegals in Colorado! 'Merica!!!!!
Just this one machine to use in my country Tanzania mweeee
👍🏻🇺🇸🐝
What are those curved marks cut out across the fields...did someone take a three wheeler across illegally ?
