this was the first time i have seen this train so close !!
thankyou for watching - Авто та транспорт
Nice to see some proper traction! ;).
Superb
Good rare video, never seen this train before, I shall have to look out for it in future. I can't recall seeing Newton Abbot station movements so quiet for a Thursday in May, perhaps it was early morning.
lighthousefilms I saw it on the Greenford branch line at Castle bar Park and at the West Ealing depot.
Wonderful video! Good work!
Thumbs Up
Andrew
hello and thankyou :)
Great video
thankyou !!
Cool video.
105 couples to the cars of lumber to the saw mills.
Quality video, thats alot of wood
thankyou - twice a week most weeks of the year !!
Nice vid mate.have liked and subscribed :)
Oh look, it's a vw hippie bus turned into a locomotive.
Scy no she got a massive V16 based on proven design - Ruston are renowned in the rail, marine and standby generation
Scy why are you watching this?
In American terms, it's about equivalent to a GP40-2. Similar weight, horsepower, tractive effort, and age. The 56 is geared a bit faster.
Great video :-) watched every minute, loved every minute. Wish I was there xD
Matt
thankyou very much - i really enjoyed it as well - i haven't seen it for a while.. ( it is still working every week as far as i know)
Using Janney couplers i presume. for the love of god can we get some standardisation across British rail?
Great video! Have subbed!
hello and thank you - i have subbed back :)
Easy, done it a million times, coupling first then air pipe and maybe ETH.
Arriving Freight Train: I got my load in! Send in the other Unit! Over!
Station Master: Good to hear! Sending the other Unit! Over
Freight Train Locomotive: This is Colas Unit Class 56105! Is the Freight Ready? Over!
Station Master: Freight is at the Station! Over and Out!
Freight Train: Alright! Time to get this Load out of here
Looks like she's burning some oil at the start there (blue smoke and all that) - time for a change of piston rings maybe?
hello, she is possibly in need of a change of piston rings, i would hope that hauling 1200 tonnes of wagons and wood should clear out all her pipes :)
Very true!
These couplers look so weak.
The network rail quit the buckeye coupler?
I don't know much about the coupling systems!
Thank you.
UK freights don't generally use interlocking couplers because there are incompatible systems in use, and picking one over the other on a locomotive would make it unusable with the other types. Chain/link couplers are just fine. You don't see mile long freight trains in the UK anyway, but rather lots of smaller ones, so the strain isn't a problem.
Thanks. I had thought these were the readies for the coupler exchange to SA3. I prefer the buckeye ones though.
Always worked for me, 15 years of Buckeyes.
how come it decided to go from pulling it to pulling it the other way?
17 cars? No where close to a line.
Nightmare Fredbear The train comes out of a branch line onto the mainline, it was facing the wrong way to has to turn around.
fuck that wind
+eldiabl06 hello - yes it was some what annoying !!
British weather.
Welcome to Devon and Cornwall. The wind never stops, try going to the beach, you'll need a secure wind break.
2:05 Did she go into Emergency?
hello, as far as i am aware this is the standard procedure... :)
