And did anyone noticed that both needles are pointing in the same direction, so you don't have to play the " A " side's of you're records often to get grooveburn on them.
I was thinking the same thing. I went and looked at my unit to make sure I wasn't crazy and one is upside right and the other upside down. Imagine what that would do to a Styren record.
The "new" Seeburg cartridge is louder because it is a ceramic cartridge which has an out put of several volts as opposed to the original cartridge which was magnetic and put out less than one volt. Also, there was a problem with some of the aftermarket replacement styli having reduced output. This cartridge set-up is using the same cheap-o cartridges used in Crosley products. You can buy the cartridges used in this assembly for under $5. each at some sellers. With both styli pointing up, as opposed to a genuine Pickering Seeburg which has one stylus pointing up and the other pointing down, it doesn't present a problem and doesn't cause any more record wear. A record could be damaged though, if you swapped the two stylii. This is even true with the original Pickering Seeburg cartridges.
