space marines either punching air rn because they cant get this glorious melee combat or thinking if their avg route to their toilet is worse then this.
It is glorious when you get into the 'clutch rhythm' during there moments and start to overcome the odds, sadly many times this just does not pan out as you get grabbed by a random mutie while a flamer cooks you or a monstrosity pushes you into a corner while the area gets carpet bombed. But when it does work out, there is no other feeling like it, being the one man army clutch saviour.
I think the director should work the other way around. In some of the clutches I had in auric, after killing the wave that was after me, it was a lot calmer until I rescued my teammates
Some games. It feels oike the director takes a step back when people are dying or going down. We call it "appeasing the blood sacrifice" some games the director rips a line of warp stone and cranks things up to 15 regardless of how the team is doing
The ai director is kinda sadistic in that if you dont kill off the horde fast enough it will just keep spamming more trying to end the match, Instead of slowly getting easier. After about 2k missions total from pc and console if you do manage to make good progress killing them off it will get easier and slow itself down. This is mostly because you have different timers for spawns. If you playing high intensity there can be two separate horde spawn’s, being both specialists, elites, bosses or whatever event are your in actually limits this as well. Events limit this to specialists unless you have oygrn’s then it can spawn elites depending on team comp in “light” amounts. As well as turn off boss spawn’s unless one is already spawned or is supposed to on that mission event. While in random parts of area’s that have been cleared only specialists can spawn and no hordes or elites. Technically meaning the longer you stay in an explorded & cleared area both enemy spawnings will be on specialist that have call sounds only. Eventually… so most regular add’s can be killed off and wont come back but it will just keep spamming specialist like sniper’s, trappers, dogs, mutants, even bombers & flamers. Which is why you will hear the dreaded back to back spawn sounds (trust me it used to be worse and double, tripple or more whatever it had picked) Getting 6 trappers, flamers or now recently spammed mutants… flamers and mutants are the most spammed enemies when you’ve recently dealt with both trappers and dogs which it doesn’t seem to spam too much anymore after you out them down giving them the biggest cooldowns. Thankfully this means gunners dont just spawn meaning if you matches take really long sometimes or you just hate them, mutants, flamers are the primary run killers in longer missions… If you get past dogs and trappers with ease that is. Flamers and mutants can and will be spammed indefinitely in some cases even recently but their at least slower spammed out.
@@tjwild99 I've survived worse on ogryn. Not expecting success, its a hard game in an even harder situation. I'm expecting them to try. Cornering yourself is guaranteed fail. Or Ogryn can put on his big boy pants and be like the psyker, and die fighting. Props to that psyker.
What I like about playing a support veterans is I could’ve just put myself in between all of them and use my special ability and they all three would’ve gotten up at the same time.
Do you have any tips to avoid getting "locked on" in melee? When every i get into melee they "aimbot" track mu position and i cant not dodge out of their range? Any tips on how to avoid them from locking on? Cuz i watch yours and other players gameplay and i have never seen yall have that much of the issue before.
The AI loses their tracking on you when you do dodge out of their attacks. This could be a case of dodge deprecation, which means you may be dodging too many times at once. This causes your character to not get much distance at all when dodging.
@@MrUncthat's why it's better to spec Curios in Stamina and Toughness (because that's always good on Zealot) to increase your dodge and sprint capabilities. Having a lot of stamina and stamina regen makes playing melee Zealot a lot less stressful imo. Even on a maul build, which I run rather than the usual knives. And dodging some elites is... Tricky (maulers, crushers). You need to get the timing right, or they'll destroy you. Difficult when they're gangbanging your ass. But Stamina, dodge efficiency.... it's all good. You can practise in the Psykanium with some Spawning mods.
Could ask the same of Cod, apex or Battlefield. what with them fixing games left and right, plus the legal aimbot they gave controller players. That sweet tide combat feel can never be topped . @@Armendicus Well said. Even when stale DT squeeze juice is the best I ever had. For me I think my favorite moments when you battle a monstrosity alone and manage to win despite all other enemies trying to get you at the same time. Nothing else like that rush. I tend to hunt the monstrosities, you don't always win of course but locking on to them with the chainsword revv and dragging the bungy rope out to max extension to avoid attacks is just too cool. I do that with Mutants too and that is a hoot as they run past, you latch on with the revv and then the mutant jerks to a dead stop (literally) at the end of extension. Mutant denial operation. :) I think those that don't appreciate Darktide haven't played the higher difficulty with seemingly endless hordes and smarter AI. There really is no other game like it. Bro the second one looked completely hopeless. No idea how you are to do that. Your joints must hurt like crazy.
Weakest devotee of the ecclesiarchy:
I feel like the less players are left standing the more the game ramps up its elite and specialist spawns as if going for the kill.
I think the director should work the other way around. In some of the clutches I had in auric, after killing the wave that was after me, it was a lot calmer until I rescued my teammates
According to one of the game testers for Darktide in my server, that's exactly how it works as the players die.

It's clutches like these that make me feel that you understand me in a way few do, my man.

That Rashad clutch was mythical. You’re a total stud.
Every now and again you should throw in a failed clutch attempt to keep us guessing
imagine getting saved by a clutch and you immediately hide in a corner behind your shield.

Mod list when?
HOW
oh my God
step one: play zealot
If you put this on him playing zealot and not being an incredible player there is something wrong with you I stg
It is true that zealot has the most clutch capability of the 4 tho, nonetheless 2nd clutch was nasty as hell
Step two: get gooder

I get the feeling he's a god on every class tbh
Step Three: Do cocaine
