When the coach is willing to get hit with the racquet and the ball just to see their player improve, you know they have passion for teaching. This guy has it.

Just bend your knees ,toss the ball at 11 o clock , lead with the edge of the raquet into the ball , aim to hit the back of the ball across and out. Imagine you are hitting a very spinny forehand upside down .

Not fair. Those are the type of sweatpants you need to wear to exercise in. Otherwise they hinder your movement.

As for rec players, this isn't really recommended since kick practice tends to ruin your shoulders. She's an elite player as a matter of fact.

I guess you have to hit the ball a bit lower so that you can have much more spin on the ball..because when you hit the ball higher you cant give it much spin and it will much more of a flat serve..

Aren't you telegraphing your intentions then? Or maybe it's to learn the fundamentals and then break them?
You can kick down the T, body, or wide. Shoulders & hips are always turned starting a serve however, during a kick serve the position holds through contact helping to create height and direction.
Andy Rodick has the highest degree of hip rotation found on a serve. I believe somewhere around 130°.
Theim telegraphs his kick all the time and still has one of the best kicks. If its good enough it wont matter.
Once you get good enough you can learn to have the same position but hit down the tee to mix it up.

Imo you're always telegraphing a kick serve with the toss unless you're Pete Sampras or Roger Federer. Only 2 guys I've seen that can disguise all their serves with a single toss. However to do what they do requires tremendous timing and lots of back and shoulder flexibility
Even if you know a kick is coming it's still hard to return...especially off the backhand side.
