Idah and Bernardo should be the first 2 permanent signings of the summer. Both turned up in the biggest games this season and plenty of room for improvement from both, then we can move on and go and get our other targets.
Idah yep. Bernardo is baws. Can't sign him based on 3 of 4 decent performances. We need people that are challenging for others' jerseys. He's not shown any hunger.
@AjayiMark Remember matt Riley couldn't get in to the team last season and exploded when he got a meaningful run of games. Not saying he's got the same quality but we've seen enough upside from such a young player it's a no brainer for me.

Rangers played like Kilmarnock and tried to frustrate us and we struggled to break them down . Hence the boring game. But we stuck it out. Had patience and got our reward. Hail hail Bhoys and ghirls 💚💚😎

Wholly agree we need to strengthen but whether by design or not we are now in a stronger position to buy quality players than we were last summer.

Fair enough, but I have facts on my side. The club is going to be stronger financially this year compared to last year. Even then money doesn't necessarily buy 'quality' and success. £70m-£80m in the bank is peanuts in today's market so we have to be picking up potential bargains some who will be a success and others who will disappoint. When you look at the profits the club have made on the successes it is pretty impressive. Get real .. professional football is a business and our Board is renowned in the football world as one of the most competent. If you have a bad board you end up like them across the city.. is that what you really want?

I don’t think I would have believed you in February that the season would transpire the way it has. It was tough, it was a slog, sat through some absolutely brutal games of football but in the end we have won a double. All credit to Brendan, the players and all staff at the club. We have really lacked depth and quality this season, but i will remember this season for the incredible mental strength we showed and the reunification of the fans with the club. This double was not likely back in March. This double is Rodgers finest managerial career achievement, but i think he will better it in the next 2 years. As for Idah well its simple we dont win the double without his vital 9 goals and all of his goals were big goals in vital games.If that cant secure a transfer then i dont know what does.

From afar, which is where football stands are in relation to the pitch, Bernardo looks like O’Riley. That definitely works against him.
Especially if we lose O’Riley this summer, as expected. Because then permanently signing Bernardo appears somewhat of a safe option.
Jota also came on loan from Benfica. I hold out hope it’ll be shrewd business to buy him permanently. We should be losing so many others before him.

I know you mention in the video a comment by one of your viewers regarding Idah's answer to whether he'd like to sign permanently or not. Myself and my wife were watching and we both had a completely different reading of his answer than that fella who left the comment.
I was quite impressed with his answer tbh, the guy is no fool. He basically gave a non-committal response saying it's out of his hands. Which it is!
He knows it doesn't matter how much he wants to come or how much BR wants him. He still has the obstacles of the Norwich board and management, the Celtic board and a price tag to negotiate.
If he was to say he'd 'love to sign' it could be interpreted by the Norwich fans that he wants out. Then the deal doesn't happen and he stays at Norwich. He would/could immediately be on a recovery mission with the Norwich supporters.
When he gave his answer, my wife described it as a 'politically savvy' response and she is bang on.

Interesting that the only 2 6 WIAR this season came when they absolutely had too.
The first one was after losing back to back league games. When we were finally no longer in the driving seat. (Only lost one other, which was infamously controversial.)
The second was our last 6 matches which was necessary to complete an acceptable season.
I thought Ralston should have come on early second half.
Either Kenny nicked that Celtic tap from the club shop or he is wearing a new high teck microphone !
Agree with Kenny on when we faced them in the 90s , what a team we had with the likes of PVH . Mcstay . Thom , Di Canio & Cadette , they also had a great squad to be fair with Gazza & Laudrup but we just couldn’t get by that Gorum then it became a mental thing going into those games ☘️🇮🇪🏴

Great post match analysis. Insights by Kenny express what we are thinking but can't always articulate. Made very good point that oddly Rangers were respecting us first half and almost too much. Respect and Rangers are a rare commodity.

I know we conceded less, but in Ange's first season, we scored 92 goals in the league. This year we scored 95. Ange's team was labelled as free scoring, I was surprised to see we'd scored more this year.

Before Idah arrived his market value was around 3m. His performance at Celtic has rightly doubled his value. In contrast, Bernardo has been unconvincing in most games.
Our fans need to realise we can not expect us to beat other teams with ease. Sometimes you need to dig in and grind out a match. They were playing to disrupt our midfielders with the 5 they played, but look back and they offerd very little.
Great roundup again guys. Thought we were pretty rotten today but as you said Paul it was like going to the well once too often. In the end we got the win and I love it.

A bit of a, "Two baldy guys fightin' over a comb", kind of a game; as Kenny alluded to in his appraisal of the match., But, tae blazes with it; *WE WON* - they didnae, and we also got to watch Adam Idah stroll over and just push Sima on his back-side & and also 'BoyBand Twuntwell' get a wee reminder from Greg Taylor which was almost as good as GT's "Shut yer' hole, FatBoy" moment. So, all-in-all, job done. We now know exactly who *definitely* needs to get out of Lennoxtown & off the wage-bill... Hail & Hail again from Japan!! #COYBIG
Still not sure we’ve played a full 90 minutes of football all season. Big improvement and investment needed. Will it happen? No.
At the end of the day, beating Sevco is the benchmark for most of our support, precisely why the board will never splash ‘real’ cash ever again, and will continue to treat us with the usual contempt.

We must be the only ‘big club’ in Europe that has zero ambition to compete in Europe, be that the UCL or Europa League. Winning Domestic trophies in a two horse race is the stagnation mentality that will never see our club evolve.
Love the show guys and don’t mind atmosphere but that was a pointless show as the background noise pretty much drowned out most of what you said in the few minutes I managed to endure it. If I wanted to listen to a pub rabble I would just have went to the pub myself.

Bernardo is a difficult one think he could have huge growth in him brings a bit of discipline and strength in midfield and maybe would push on next season… But no guarantees if we are spending 6 mil definitely would need to see more than we’ve seen .tend to agree with Kenny and pass but certainly wouldn’t be surprised if we regretted it further down the line .its a maybe maybe naw situation..l
They do not look at the strength of a push. They simply ask if the goalkeeper was pushed, which was obvious in this case as there were 2 hands on his back.

Lawwell and co are bean counters with no ambition, there are 8 CL games next season and we have to buy proper quality players to make a difference to the starting lineup ! The board really need to back Brendan from now on. Too many times we've seen them be thrifty with spending. Even Ange wasn't given that much. Now is the perfect time to race even further ahead of the manky mob and really compete in Europe. Back the man for god sake. GK, LB, CB and 2 wingers aswell as signing Bernardo and Idah.
Agree and include a replacement for O'Riley if he goes. Clear out those we can and loan the rest to SPL clubs to strengthen them against Rangers.

--> Sell Kyogo somewhere he'd get better service and use that money to get a second striker. Keep Idah, even for 6 million. He knows Rodgers' system and has good rapport with the rest of the squad.
--> TBF, Rangers had the right game plan: make it scrappy and play for corners. Whatever other improvements the squad might need, Celtic also need to find a better set-piece coach for next season.
If this was a league game think everyone wouldn't moan that it should have ended a draw. Was always going to be cagey the last win against them by more than 1 goal was the 4-0 back in Sep 2022, about 10 games ago now so in my head I had 1-1 90 mins with Idah & Sima as the goalscorers, was almost there 😅 Think this squad has seen its day and need to bring in 7-9 players to continue this as If we have still Taylor, Scales, Forrest/Palma & Kyogo starting next season another covid season will happen. Kyogo won't be the main man anymore, think he knows this. Yes he had an amazing 2 years under Ange but this season he has been hit & miss. 7 goals against them looks decent but about 5/7 game in 3 games the other 10+ he's been shite against them. We've won the double & happy about this but it's alarming that they've always been in games this season against us when they've had a 3rd choice CB, Cantwell, Dessers playing then it's alarming. New GK, LB, CB, Winger, CAM & Striker is needed drop Taylor, Scales & Kyogo to the bench & we will have more depth in the squad for next season. The CL money is a massive bonus but playing 8 times in Europe maybe the reason if we don't get recruitment correct, another bad European campaign & our league defence gone
Great achievement from all the players and manager to get the double! Been a strange up and down season since day 1 and a double is a great feat. More than a few In that team aren’t good enough but tbh. Scales again yesterday was awful! Taylor not much better. Hatate for me gets cut a hell of a lot of slack to. Thought his showing yesterday was pitiful! Strolled about like it was a pre season friendly. We need an injection of quality in key areas of the pitch. Both of our last 2 games against them and not 1 signing since rodgers came back has started! We play in a piss poor league and our only rivals are a basket case! Let’s not be fooled into thinking that some these players are of the standard required

Referee was terrible yesterday, clear as day handball and a penalty to Celtic and the chopped off rangers goal was harsh
The law of the game is clear in relation to that push and it does not even look at how hard the keeper is pushed.
