hip hops has more complex drum patterns
everyone that has a basic understanding of bpms, keys and mixers can make a basic edm transition

What does EDM mean? Does that encompass the 1000 genres of all dance music? I think fans of dance music can be a lot more aware of good mixing and bad mixing actually. There is more of an art to creating a journey for the dancers with dance music., genre dependant, you can''t just go in and spin one banger after the next straight from the beginning.

Depends on wat genre of edm. Any house edm is easy af to mix but if it’s futurebass and/or heavy with lyrics it is complex as the drum patterns are more complex than house. Similar to hip hop.
Liked his style of transition. Each transition had a common theme: subtle and smooth. He wasn't overdoing it or trying to be too technical with it. That coupled with his track selection made you anticipate what he was going to play next. I enjoyed his mix!
