Everything Rostam touches turns to gold
Heard on end credits of The Last Movie Stars, the doc about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. The haunting refrain "One day I'll stop to listen" sung so beautifully made me stop to find out who sings this and listen to the whole song. Her voice is utterly sublime.
Hamilton Leithauser did all of the music for that series. Pure gold!

With Hamilton Leithauser's vocals, Rostam's harmonies, and Kelly's golden vocals, the result comes out is priceless and dazzling. I will say the same with Angel Deradoorian's vocals on the album version. I know it's been a few years, but this is music to my ears.

Duuude. I like Sisters of Mercy just as much as the next guy who used to wear a lot of black, but come on. Their 1959 was great, too, but it was a different song entirely. You know, the way the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie was totally different from Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series. There, now don't you feel silly.
